QUOTE(ianho @ May 22 2007, 12:35 AM) I reckon buy monitor 1st is always better. U can still enjoy ur movies n surfing on a much bigger screen. Then after u haf the monitor u can gauge what ur requirements r for gaming n buy an appropriate card for ur budget. Buying a super gfx card 1st n using it on a small monitor just doesnt make sense. I was going to disagree with this - but I think it's a matter of priority. If you're primarily a gamer, go for the graphics card. (Though personally I've decided that I will wait for the second generation of DX10.) However if you watch movies and tv shows a lot, the monitor will be the better investment. Also don't forget that your monitor is a much more long term investment than the graphics card. Therefore to me it's always worth it to spend more money on your monitor rather than your graphics card. |

Sorry, typing mistake, it should be 225ms, here are the detail. Malaysia only can find FP222W version, but not FP222WH one.

The 226bw is superior to that, unless I've missed something.

yeah.... if your GC can support WS resolution la... so for those already own a decent GC, then better get monitor first...
i'm still in awe of my 226BW monitor... worth every single cent paid for it.... then later only upgrade to better GC... what for buy 8series card and then use small CRT monitor? hehe... Yeah same thinking.. btw, since there's so many samsung 226BW user here, does it support 1:1 ratio? bcos planning to get it..Also don't forget that your monitor is a much more long term investment than the graphics card. I searched in the net previously, hardly can see much LCD can support 1:1, even if there're, most of them are top of the line, which you have to spend >RM1k.

hey guys.. i just roughly go thru the previous topics, i noticed that 20' to 22' actually can't feel that is a huge diff being human sight.
but i'm wondering, they r in same max screen resolution (1680x1050), then will the 20' is looks sharper than the 22', since the 22' is bigger but with same resolution? |

you might not be able to see more details in 22", given the fact that their native resolution is the same.
in fact, 22" monitor will be 'blurer' than a 20" because of d the dots distance (i might not be using a technical term).
