since 16:9 is wider than 16:10.. is it lower in heights than 16:10??

Just saw my LCD yesterday and gosh, crazy DELL sent them in 3 different boxes. Even those small cables need one additional BIG box..LOL...

Tested it for dead pixel with "dead pixel buddy" and luckily, there is none..Absolutely beautiful screen and conversion from 17in CRT is absolutely amazing..Backlight bleeding was at a bare minimum as wel..

Too bad when i launched movies now, they are somehow pixelated. Maybe because the resolution is too high.

lol.. sure all those cable come with another smaller box when u buy their WS lcd

Wow..Very nice to hear that. I did another round of gaming yesterday. This time, on Level 8 AA. Lagging and almost unplayable if you love to play games on smooth fps. Anyway, since my resolution is maxed out, Level 4 AA + 22" native is the way to go for me as off now..Love how a WS performs during gaming..

Do you have backlight bleeding problem and how different do you think between getting an Ultra Sharp version and a normal version..?

Ok great if that is possible. Will try to do so with mine tonight but mine was just slight bleeding. Nothing major. Is backlight bleeding a problem for most LCD?

my current 19" wide LCD is on RMA now, now itching to get another LCD - main purpose is gaming

my rig is so so only Sempron based with 6800 ultra, gaming on a 1440x900 is ok, normally cannot go maximum details, and minimum AA

1.  i dunno if i should get one of those 20-22" wide lcd - whether my rig can handle the higher reso??

2.  btw dell 2007 which was plagued with banding problem previously (did they ever really solve it?) and is the 16ms response is it good enuff for gaming?  sorry if this has been discussed before, i may hav missed it.

Majority DELL LCD will have backlight bleed. Not so much on ACD/NEC Professional series. By the way, the 24" NEC LCD2490WUXi is officially brought in by NEC Malaysia. Any NEC fans out there? Time to get one.

So far, only ACD, NEC and my first RevA00 banding 2007WFP has zero backlight bleed.

haih... is it wasted if I buy 22" wide just for normal surfing, gaming, and movies? I am no multitasker and I don't do spreadsheet, photoshopp and programming at the moment.

I ve simulate the 1600x1024 resolution, when I open LYN homepage, yahoo.com, microsoft.com and many other major pages, both horizontal sides has been wasted (sometimes the content of the page is left intended, why most are center oriented)

this makes me think over and over again, will it be waste of money if i buy 22" ?

I do agree with you that gaming,movies, internet on the WS is good. But then now the problem is when i go to a CC or somethings those normal LCD sure looks weird to me
