That is because LCD TV's resolution is low. Imagine running 1366x768 on a 32" or even larger LCD TV. Huge screen, but abysmal font quality. Try comparing that to my ACD 30" resolution at 2560 x 1600, I can view 4 x lowyat.net full screen page at one screen.

so any difference if use it for watching video or playing games?

Hello guys, i am planning to get Dell E228WFP 22"
Any one using this monitor? i need some comment on it.

Is it ok for gaming? especially playing WoW smile.gif

And another question is i am using GE force 6600 graphic card. If i such of sudden use such a big monitor will it effect the respond on the monitor slower? lets assume i put it to higher resolution can my graphic card handle it or do i need to upgrade to a better graphic card?

Depends on what type of gaming you are referring to. There are very limited PC titles with 16:9 support. PS2/PS3 are more suitable on a LCD TV.

Yeah, you'll have to run your games at lower resolution(1024 x 768 or 1280 x 768 if the game supports widescreen), but if you're sitting sufficiently far away from your tv it probably wouldn't look too jaggy. I guess if you're going to be watching movies and playing games most of the time then using an lcd tv as a monitor might make sense. Also I don't know how many tvs support 1:1 pixel mapping which is important because you'll end up with a distorted image if the game's aspect ratio is different from the tv's.

Is there any S-IPS/S-PVA 22 inch (W) available in the market? Any brand?

I'm not a gamer so I don't bother about response time. Only color depth and viewing angle is crucial for me.

Why the hell that Dell doesn't produce 22Wide Ultrasharp? sad.gif

Dell doesn't produce LCDs panels that's why. Dell just out source the cheapest panel they can get their hands on and make them their own.

Unless you have an LCD that comes with speakers, you will need to output the sound elsewhere...

4 days. Ordered it on Monday (deadline for the promotion), received a call on tuesday regarding some error in the credit card processing. After that, problem is solved the same day, and received a call from credit card company regarding the confirmation on wednesday, and wahlah...LCD arrived on Thursday 2pm. Great service and delivery. If without the problem, i guess it would only take 3 days. However, their website did state that the delivery time may vary from 3 days to 20 days. Do give their customer service a call. I guess you can ask them to deliver it quick as you are urgent.. thumbup.gif

That i am not too sure about..Anyway, mine was sent by DHL instead. Not sure which delivery company that they use..But they are surely quick. Last week i have a problem with my laptop LCD, called their support, very helpful and courteous, and they came the next day to fix it on the spot..
