Hi All, I need to find tyre with this uncommon size. So far I’ve been using Goodyear NCT 5 but now I’m thinking to try other brand. From my survey online there is not much choice for this size, the one I found are
1. Goodyear NCT 5 2. Silverstone Evol 8 3. Dunlop SP Sport J5 4. Continental UC6 5. Falken sincera 6. Nexen (not sure which model)
Any other brand/model I missed? Anyway I’m leaning towards continental for now BUT finding that the tyre exists in such size is one thing, to find it on the shop is another thing. So far I can only find Goodyear, falken and nexen in the shop. If you know where I can find UC6 or Dunlop in Penang/Kulim area it will be much appreciated. I’m also open to other suggestions if you have any. Thanks!

QUOTE(jiash87 @ Jun 22 2018, 10:33 AM) Yes same as savvy. It’s for my kenari fitted with 15inch sport rim. This is the only size that fits nicely without scraping the wheel arc. 185 will scrap with full load so I’m sticking with 175/50R15

I concur that it was the best tire I’ve used for my kenari. Only drawback is the soft compound makes it wears faster than the NCT5. Another reason I’ve stop using it because it was not cheap, plus I find the tire makes my wheel looks small so I want to keep the 175/50R15 size.

In fact I have call most of the dealers in continental website, most of them don't have continental. only have goodyear, dunlop, silverstone and rovelo. this is so weird like the tire didnt exist in the market but I did check on both conti website and chat with their FB, both confirm that Continental UC6 175/50R15 exists

QUOTE(spreeeee @ Jun 25 2018, 02:06 PM) why not change other kind of measurement, 185/45 or 195/45 should fit.. I've tried 185 before, it scraps to my wheel arc. Before that I've used 165/50 but it streches my tire as the rim too wide but the tire too narrow yeah2 I know, I should just change the rims but I want to keep the rims so my only option is 175/50R15 as it is the proper fit for my rims/car.

In the end I bought the NCT5 again due to the availability and price. Been looking high and low for continental UC6 but it was nowhere to be found. The others are either more expensive or it’s old 2017 stock. Got the NCT5 at RM165 a piece for 2018 made. Not the best tyre out there but for daily ride to work I guess it’ll do.
