Hey dudes,

Need some advice on the choices. Intend to buy a vacation condo in Penang.

First Choice

1000 sqft, high floor, city view, one parking lot, asking RM623k

Second Choice
1500sqft, lower floor (near swimming pool and city view), two parking lots, asking RM713k

The 1500 unit is closed to the swimming pool and hence the swimming pool pump noise is quite annoying. Unless, you close all the windows and balcony door, then the noise wont penetrate in the house. I am not sure should I choose the bigger unit with cheaper sqft per unit or go for higher floor but more expensive pricing. What do you think?

Thank you in advance.

Swimming pool noises are very annoying. Kids, party, crowds, can be heard 10 floors up if the pool is walled by buildings.

You should prioritize your need.
Living area or cost.
Noise and parking lot can be addressed somehow, Living area size cannot.

Yes. The noise travelled up to Level 30 too, during weekend and evening time. It is not walled up, infinity pool with one side facing the unit.

Hmm, your point makes sense. Budget or area size. Thanks!

I'm living on the 30 floor, after 10 years so bored already with the view, like static.

I wish my view is a swimming pool which is more dynamic. brows.gif shocking.gif lust.gif

Speaking from experience, as long you avoid the highest 3 level floors and lowest 3 level floors then you're good to go. Rest are all secondary only.
