I think Kenwood or Alpine's head units that offer an Ipod sync wire can be had for RM600 ish brand new. Search for a second hand one for a better price. I think this is the best solution, as you don't have to fiddle with your Ipod and control it from the HU. It can be quite dangerous to be playing around with radio frequencies on your cheap China thingamajig as I have unfortunately found out.
