What is your machine's current specification?

Have you tried NOX?

IMO, BlueStacks is the worst performing Android Emulator.

i7 2650QM with 8GB ram and GT 525M.

Before this can run all emulator without problem, was using Leapdroid. After the recent Windows update then start to crash when start the emulator. Reinstall Leapdroid don't help. Try NOX, crashed as well.

Btw, agree BlueStacks is the worst emulator, terrible resource management.

Windows must have done something somewhere. Haven't tried Leapdroid.

Have used Bluestacks, AndY, MEMu and NOX. NOX works best for my system - though emulators being emulators ...

Mine is i5-7200U @ 2.5GHz, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 620

Yes, latest build with latest patches. Still try to figure out what's the problem.

This is the correct answer.. all android emulator cannot run and will cause BSOD if Hyper-V is enable in your machine...

1. Windows update sometimes overwrite drivers, especially when its new build update. E.g latest 1803. Always double check your device manager.

2. Disable Hyper-V

3. Disable core isolation under new setting for Windows security.

4. Enable virtualization through BIOS setting

My choices for android emu are Nox and Memu. Although there is a newer one in town, LDPlayer which loads 5.1 by default like Memu, i still prefer Nox wub.gif

App crashes a lot in their beta 7.1.1, which causes android system to reboot.

Currently using 6.2.3.9 which was updated few days ago, so far so good. They have changed their default android version from 5.1.1 from 4.4.2.
Both 4.4.2 and 7.1.1 still downloadable from Nox Multidrive manager. So far good performance at 5.1.1, better than Memu.

hahahahha should've said earlier biggrin.gif

only one kind of virtualization can run at one time. either hyper-v, virtualbox or something else.

leapdroid and most android emulators run on virtualbox. got some on qemu, but very rare

You need to enable VT-d and virtualization in BIOS/UEFI.
