Hey all, im a new owner of the z610 recently, and first of all. Id like to apologize to Mr. Smiley to FFK him on the deal, sorry bro, need to get a phone urgently the other day so i ended up getting one at retail.

Its a great phone and im loving it, where the only drawbacks are the easily stained cover.

Sorry if im being a noob, but im curious, is it possible to mod the external display? i mean... currently all it can do is display time/incoming calls and songs that are playing. Is it possible to do a little animation like the one in the pink version preview video? or something else? i find that the customizeability of the oled display are rather limited.

And another problem im having is playing video at fullscreen, none of the vids are able to play on fullscreen... according to a friend of mine, this is due to the themes, if so... id like some recommendation/links on some nice minimalistic themes that is able to play on fullscreen.

nope... and that was what i was actually asking in my first post here, the snow effect on the pink version is really cool... i wonder if its only possible for the pink? or is there anyway for us to flash the firmware to that of pink version?

Added on June 6, 2007, 12:03 amas for the fullscreen problem im having, im still looking at uncle google, and many ppl says that clamshell cant view vids in fullscreen...

but the thing is... even my lousy z520i is able to play it on fullscreen, and also, if u cant play fullscreen.. what the heck is the fullscreen option doing there on the vid player?

im owning a black beauty, sigh, still cant find any answers to my problems till now.

yup... i owned a few SE phones before this, and this is the first time i come across this issue, when switched to fullscreen, it changes to horizontal fullscreen. I got a hint that its the theme problem.. and so far i downloaded LOTS of themes and still none of them works.

Is anyone here able to play vid on fullscreen? if so.. mind to share your current theme?

There is the fullscreen option there, but even with it selected, nothing changes and it doesnt goes fullscreen.

SE SEUS really sux.. i got that error as well and ive spent hours trying to figure out how to overcome it and searching all over. It appears that there is a bug with windowblinds and some skinning softwares, so try unloading your themes/revert them back to classic and try again. And in the end... SE cant get any updates for me despite spending so much time figuring out this stupid error. Im pretty sure my firmware is pretty old, its R1EJ001 sigh... is there any solution that i might be able to update my firmware without paying for phone shop services? ive found wotan, but needs to pay as well.

been using my black beauty for around 3 weeks already, and lovin it more and more haha. Its the kind of phone that really mesmerizes you when u look at the shiny surface, though im sure im gonna get bored of it soon ...

Anyways, im still unable to update my firmware, oh well.. eveyrthing works fine till now, and im not facing the battery issues that has been discussed here, didnt charge my phone for around 4-5 days and its still at 35% now. And the crystal case really makes the phone look fuggly and bulkier and i stopped using it after a few days

At my first impression of the z610i shiny cover, i thought it would get scratches really easy. To my surprise, its still scratch free till now, only finger print magnet.
