Hey all, im a new owner of the z610 recently, and first of all. Id like to apologize to Mr. Smiley to FFK him on the deal, sorry bro, need to get a phone urgently the other day so i ended up getting one at retail.

Its a great phone and im loving it, where the only drawbacks are the easily stained cover.

Sorry if im being a noob, but im curious, is it possible to mod the external display? i mean... currently all it can do is display time/incoming calls and songs that are playing. Is it possible to do a little animation like the one in the pink version preview video? or something else? i find that the customizeability of the oled display are rather limited.

And another problem im having is playing video at fullscreen, none of the vids are able to play on fullscreen... according to a friend of mine, this is due to the themes, if so... id like some recommendation/links on some nice minimalistic themes that is able to play on fullscreen.

Hello, have fun with your Z610 but take good care of it. I don't think you can mod the external display but there's the snow effect when someone calls you(and the call goes through) and in some cases, if you update your firmware to the latest, you can get the snow effect whenever you close the cover.

i saw a review on other version of z610i and
it can play vids at fullscreen! even the camera works
like horizontal view thingie.

That's the bug in R1ED001 firmware. Current latest firmware for Z610i will be R1JG001. But not sure is it available at SEUS for download.

yup... i owned a few SE phones before this, and this is the first time i come across this issue, when switched to fullscreen, it changes to horizontal fullscreen. I got a hint that its the theme problem.. and so far i downloaded LOTS of themes and still none of them works.

Is anyone here able to play vid on fullscreen? if so.. mind to share your current theme?

can i update manually or i have to go to the service center to update?

SE SEUS really sux.. i got that error as well and ive spent hours trying to figure out how to overcome it and searching all over. It appears that there is a bug with windowblinds and some skinning softwares, so try unloading your themes/revert them back to classic and try again. And in the end... SE cant get any updates for me despite spending so much time figuring out this stupid error. Im pretty sure my firmware is pretty old, its R1EJ001 sigh... is there any solution that i might be able to update my firmware without paying for phone shop services? ive found wotan, but needs to pay as well.
