What course did you applied for? That would probably help to advice which uni to go

Not a student of any of these uni, but I Oxford brookes and Liverpool John moored are good in engineering

Oxford Brookes is in a very nice area of the country. It's not Oxford, fair enough, but you will be living close enough to the beautiful city that is Oxford. Liverpool is just a bit of a dump really, and so is Newcastle. Bristol is lovely, but expensive (so is Oxford) but Oxford Brookes is more well known.

All degrees are about the same, dont worry too much. Unless you go to Oxford or Cambridge it does not really matter too much in the end. Find somewhere where you will actually enjoy living.

I was in Newcastle for a year and I thought it was nice. If you're into night life then its probably not too bad since even people from York/Durham take train to newcastle just to party. Everything is very convenient, I walk everywhere.

UWE got alot of hot malaysian chicks.

oxford brookes is filled with people wanting to say they are from oxford.

You're more likely to meet rich spoilt kids if you go to uwe/oxford brookes.

No idea bout liverpool

Just curious, why so specifically property valuation? You could probably get away with a finance degree or something not that specialise. hmm.gif

Haha I'm over generalising, and my sample ain't that great. Take it with a pinch of salt. icon_idea.gif

OxBrookes has a pretty nice campus tho and the town is lively and convenient.

I think she'll definitely be a little stressed out due to not having their spending capabilities but over time she'll learn that it doesn't really matter and not everything fun requires money icon_rolleyes.gif (personal experience).

Haha, that's okay. She is working part time to supplement her allowances. Can only support her fees, accommodation and basic needs. I found that staying at university accommodation is cheaper than renting outside and no headache during winter with extra bills for heating etc.

Comparatively , it's still cheaper than London. I'll be paying something like 250 pounds per week for my son accommodation. Newcastle is the cheapest of the lots in term of cost of living.

I did worked part time too, stayed with 2 angmohs and 1 of my malaysian friend at my uni accommodation. It was a 6 room flat but 2 rooms were empty.

Worked part time with very shitty pay in a Chinese supermarket, but enough to fund for all my travelling needs.

If your daughter can get some friends to stay and cook together, it will be so much more cheaper.

I was in Northumbria for a year.

I've never been to UWE/Bristol. I've been to Oxford campus for a few times, it's modern (unlike lse lmao). I really enjoyed my time in Northumbria, maybe because I was there with friends. I did learned more in that one year compared to my whole degree.
Northumbria has like 20 bloomberg terminals which is really good.

My current uni only has 12 terminals :c
