I read about the phone which exploded which was shared by the deceased brother-in-law from a message that was circulated via Whatsapp just a day after the news of the death was reported. In the news, the phones that were mentioned were the Blackberry and Huawei. The brother-in-law didn't know which phone exploded, but similarly I think they should further investigate the cause of the explosion, revealing which phone exploded (whether the Huawei or Blackberry), and whether it is the phone or the charger/wires that caused the explosion.
If it's the phone, this is a serious matter. Not to mention charging the phone while sleeping, but some people including myself sometimes use the phone while it is charging. A fatality caused by the smartphone exploding when charging needs to be investigated for the sake of the safety of others. I am sure there will be many other Blackberry and Huawei users who do not want this to happen when charging the phones, so it is surely useful if more details of this incident will be made known with further investigation.
