Almost done renovation for new house and now start researching for TV.
Been spending literally whole day going through multiple threads, got a bit info from sifus
but still not sure on which model to choose, especially when my budget wasnt high ( 3k ? can stretch to 5k if it's really good )
I've narrow down some spec I think I'll like after today's reading. Android TV OS, Dolby Vision or HDR
+, good color accuracy ( not necessary over-saturated )
Going through website senheng, onking and lazada, I also narrow down to few model below:
1) Sony 55-Inch X80G 4K UHD Android TV KD55X8000G - RM3299 ( senheng )
2) Hisense 58" 4K ANDROID TV 58B7200UW - RM2109 ( onking )
3) Sharp 4TC60AL1X - RM2668 ( some lazada seller )
4) TCL 55P8M - RM2399 ( lazada TCL )
5) Coocaa 55Q5 Android TV ( RM1799 promo ? )
I've visited senheng and view x8000g myself and like it, better than x7000g next to it. Although I suspect they tweak the x7000g ( turn off saturation etc ) as it's too obviously duller. It's playing Passengers, and I go home and watch it on my lightly calibrated monitor, the senheng display unit are too obvious duller.
Yet to check out hisense. Onking got branch near where I work, will try check out.
Another 2 TV I've tested are Sharp 4tc50ah8x and friend's LG UK6300 ( not sure exact model as he got from shop )
I hate that AH8X, color are way over saturated, contrast are quite bad, tweak a bit on saturation etc, still hate it. Only managed to tested youtube ( gopro channel and forced 4k resolution ). My friend's LG are quite pleasing and I like it. Asked him to visit gopro youtube channel and tested, yeah his LG are way better and accurate color. EDIT: I got that AH8X free from developer, but since I hate it, gave away to mum.
Should I check out Sharp still ? Not sure about TCL. Coocoa not many review except one from soyacincau.
Any opinion will be appreciate. Should I consider those model constantly mentioned by others ( during my read ) like samsung RU7400 or LG ? Those are not Android TV, so please convince me
