Hey all, I'm a P9 user and been frustrated by the GPS issue of the phone. Anyone has the issue of of "GPS signal lost" when using navigation on P9 before? Been searching online for solutions but still can't solve the problem.

Ya. By default Google Maps not shown in the list as it is already Ignore Optimization.

Other 2 solution is:
1. Set Google Maps to "Don't close" via Lock Screen clean up.
2. Get GPS Locker via https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...x.gpslock&hl=en

I'm using Huawei P9 for almost 2 years. In my experience, GPS signal with this device is terrible.

After searching Google and XDA I've found that other people also had the same issue with this model. I tried the following steps, works for awhile only.

The steps are:
- Go to "Advance Settings".
- then go to "Location Services"
- Press the 3 dot (on the top right) and select "Scan settings".
- Disable/unselect the Wi-Fi scanning (and "Bluetooth scanning")

I think there is no solution for this phone sad.gif

Usually when I'm using GPS the phone is not locked though...will this affect?
Was using the GPS just now for a while and it's working...
Will observe a few more days and give feedback

I complained to the customer service, they said maybe the phone's gps chip is loose due to drops etc. but I have yet to send to service centre. If all Huawei phones are like this, this will be my last purchase.

Hey sorry for the late reply...
Manage to test the phone few times on road...
So far no problem yet....(Strange but yes it's working...)
I think I change the finding settings to "GPS only"...
I guess locating using WiFi might be causing the trouble...
