Guys, need some advice...i'm relocating the aircond point, the aircond guy was suggesting to move the copper tubing along the red line to the new location on the left. He say that the pipe comes from upstairs (double story house) so need to traverse along the top. Is this a valid reasoning? Just wondering why can't the copper tubing travel in a straight blue line? Why need to go up and then go down again? This post has been edited by PremierToiletTisu: Jun 11 2018, 02:05 AM

what pipe are you talking about? aircond drainage? or copper tubing?
by the way, i think going on straight line is not an issue. if its drainage, make sure it goes in an slight angle so that water can flow.

if the copper pipe leads to the second storey at where the outdoor unit is to be installed, then it's not ''go up and then go down again''

Why need to go up and then go down again? aircond most prob on second floor. pipe comes down to hugging the ceiling is the shortest path. it is also aesthetically pleasing to have the ducting at the top as having the pipe run a longer route and in the middle of the wall is just plain ugly. They probably will not use the existing point and bypass it. This post has been edited by CRaider2: Jun 11 2018, 02:59 AM
