yup yup, i just registered yesterday

found many interesting numbers that you can bid too. (generally you can bid for every single number).

but what are the odds that those numbers will be sapu by those syndicate (who used to be your runner(s) etc. then you are forced to buy it from them at an exorbitant price.
I suspect their margin is easily 100%, buy a plate at RM1k then sell it for RM2k at least.

Edit: If it's paid directly to JPJ okla, part of gomen revenue ma, but why let these unethical players benefits????
*
If you want your favourite number desperately, you should bid with a higher price.
The syndicates know how much to bid for nice numbers.
Minimum they marked up RM2000 for a normal number.
For VIP numbers, bigger mark up.

QUOTE(tehoice @ Apr 16 2019, 09:44 AM)
yeah i know if i'm desperate for those numbers i should bid higher to ensure i win the bid.

just dont want to profit those organisation only.

some numbers that i want starting bid is RM800 and every bid is RM40 min, what's the min i should bid?

i'm planning to start with RM1000, if fail, next time RM1500 and so on, so to test what's the sort of lowest price you can pay for those number and then you can see how much those buggers make from reselling.
*
I know how much they are making from the bid numbers.
With the new e-bidding, not sure the rules are strict or not.
Example: If starting bid is RM800 and every bid is RM40. If I bid that number for RM850, will they disqualify my bid? My bid was not in incremental of RM40. Will the bidder of RM840 wins in this case?

Another point I noticed was if you win a bid, they will charge your credit card for the full amount immediately.
If you bid for three different numbers and win all three bids, they will charge your credit card for all the three numbers.
Am I right on this rule?

QUOTE(tehoice @ Apr 16 2019, 10:05 AM)
i think if RM850 you will win, as it says minimum is 5% increase ma, so 50 bucks is more than minimum of 40 bucks. so legit.

Yes you are right on all the 3 numbers that you won, you will be charged for all three. if i read the FAQ correctly lah.

anyone can shed more lights pls?
*
This e-bidding is convenient for individuals bidding for a number. No need runner service anymore.

Yes, agreed for the convenience.

however, this bidding is still not transparent. it should be a live thingy in my opinion, you can see the price moved up immediately someone up his/her bid by xx amount.

then you can decide if you wanna raise to out bid the others. though many would wait until the very last min to bid.

it is a good initiative by Anthony Loke, only for the convenience but not the transparency also. i think they can do better.
*
QUOTE(tehoice @ Apr 16 2019, 10:30 AM)
then later someone will come up and say this is tendering and not auctioning/bidding. so no need for such transparency. But i maintain that transparency is way to go.
*
Yes, this should be called e-tender, not e-bidding.

If I am not mistaken, this e-bidding and the normal tender will go together on a new series.

question.
2 years ago, bought a number plate but did not assign to a bike/car that time.
until today, its basically just a paper receipt.
so i wanna know, can the number still be used if lets say i buy a new car this year?
*
If I am not mistaken, after 3 months you did not register the number on a vehicle, that number will be release to the public.
Someone could have pick it up already.

Your XYX is not a special number.
That XYXY (3939) is a special number. Usually have to tender for it.

To be clear. 3939 was the “special or reserved number” that was incorrectly given by the SA and not what I wanted.

So now what number did the SA got for you?

The price is a bit expensive but if you are willing to pay, you can get a very nice number.

Yup.. I done the survey just want confirm the process same as them or not
*
I have enquired from one of their websites (not through Facebook), they said booked the number then go to their office to make payment.
After payment, they will transfer the number to your name.
Didn't ask them how long it will take to transfer the ownership.

Eventually I tendered a new number via a runner.

RM10 to register for the number you want to bid. You need to put your bid in. The value of the bid depends on the number, running number minimum is RM300, etc...

You need to top up the bid to stay as winner. So, everytime you got overbid, you need to put a new bid in.

The last VDP bidding, I lost at the very last minute. Haha.
*
So, it is better to place your bid 10 seconds before closing.
If you want that number badly, bid Rm10 higher than the highest bid in the last 10 seconds, so that nobody can bid anymore. biggrin.gif

You need to enter your card information first, so you need to bid it somehow. It will not be enough to do all that within a minute. I tried it before, 3 minutes before 23:59:58, but someone put the winning bid rightly at 23:59. No time to react after I know mine was pushed 2nd, clicking the enter bid does nothing. Haha.
*
I never participated in the e-bidding before.
Do you mean 3 minutes also not enough time to key in the price and submit?
