Hi, when we purchase a new car, RM300 is included as registration cost.

If we purchase a number separately using eBID, do we still need to pay the RM300 registration?

Hi, sorry to ask. If I have bid a number, will JPJeBid notify me someone bid higher price than me? So I can raise my bid again in order to get the same number I want?

Hi, newbie here. Just checking if anyone has any idea/info on when ALS will be open for bidding? Or how long usually does it take to be open? ALR bid was just closed yesterday.
Just looking for 1996 (for Perak) but already taken under ALR sad.gif

I would say JPJ ebid for ALR closed on 29 Jun

and only now open the leftover numbers to the rest of the public

as I see ALR160

my guess is maybe 2-4 weeks more
depending on how fast the numbers fly off the shelves

the one before ALQ ebid open and closed on March, but seeing how the covid thing happen
might skew off the time approximation

but i can say
new series ALS wont be open anytime soon

Hi, I just went JPJ to buy car plate number. Just wondering, why my car plate is not special 9123 but they charged me RM300? Is it standard price?

If you let your SA register your vehicle without picking number
Then it's not extra cost

If you want to select number, it's RM 300 +10 for any running numbers

Special numbers cannot be selected at the counter, they are reserved even though passed the bidding period

Special number bidding starts at rm800 and up to rm20k
Normal number bidding start at rm300

Now KL at 4000s
So 3 number no more

If you mean 9511 then yes, cost rm310

Understood. RM300 is standard price.
For number bought through JPJ counter, it can last 6 months for Terengganu number (I bought at Johor JPJ).
As I never bought a new car before, would like to ask, can SA register your number first before you get your car? Will they register once you made payment/loan settle or have to wait until your car is ready.

Thanks again for your help.
Suggest you can compile all this common question to the first page for easier reference for others.

err because only the said states have bidding in progress

KL/selangor at the moment dun have open , so not listed there lor

JPJ ebid only open those state that have new series to be bidded on

other states have to wait for their time to have it up

when?
no one of normal ppl knows

it will be open when its open, I guess

but if you follow states current numbers, might be around middle or earlier perhaps

Sri Aman now QBD 1557 -Ebid QBE open
Perlis now RAF 7063 - Ebid RAG open
Lahad Datu now SD 8315 P - Ebid SD **** R opens (Not sure if there is SD **** Q)

it is all down to how fast the numbers goes
and also up to states JPJ feeling want to open the new series for bidding
