Thank for sharing your experience with both type of batteries  thumbsup.gif

Btw may i know how is the price gap among the both battery types, so i can use it as a reference to avoid kena con by the battery shop

Cannot recall. Buy battery every 3 years+... and usually MF type. sad.gif

I think maintenance free battery now not much more expensive since it become common. Last time probably about Rm100 more but now I think much less than that. Probably even harder to find wet battery now biggrin.gif

Usually shop will not simply con people just like that. It is common thing. You can always go to other shop if you think expensive. For me, I just call to ask price from shops around my area and just go to change battery once it becomes weak. Yo will know when you start your car. I even jump cable to start and drive to the shop. The shop will change for free. Just make sure not to switch off engine on the way like stop at Kopitiam laugh.gif

You can check Lazada & Lelong to compare the prices. Btw, choose those well known premium brands products. The quality of the product is more stable than those non premium brand products.

My car has Varta AGM battery, but the battery is located in the boot instead of engine bay. This configuration does help a big way because heat is the enemy for battery life.

Couple with the fact that I use Bosch C7 Charger to recharge my battery every 2 months (since I bought the charger 2 years ago), I just got my battery measure with Lansol Micro-100 meter, which showed my battery still have a SOH "State of Health" of 68%. This is after 58 months of using the same battery since I bought the car rclxms.gif

No my car came with that configuration, mine is a Audi.

Yes, I bought a Lancol Micro-100 battery testing meter from Lazada. https://www.lazada.com.my/-i113082665-s1162...lFlag=true&mp=1

Read the link I posted about on lazada, there you will see the meter will indicate the state of health "SOH" and state of charge "SOC" on the screen.

Toyota brands SLA battery (wet type), comes from new trucks since 2013 until today, almost 5 years, so far so good. need regularly check battery water level every 2 months for best results. My kancil almost 10 years no need to change battery still strong, I put at back boot the battery stay away from heat from engine, it's not regular battery, it's a deep cycle battery from torjan brand. It's ain't cheap, because hobby of competition sound system.
