i went to sungei wang plaza on the 19th of may 2007 and i notice that, there is fake xbox360 accessories, the fake packaging are almost the same as the original accessories.. but i notice its easy to know which one the fake once...

- the xbox360 logo at the packaging looks bit diffrent
- the xbox official product stickers also looks diffrent
- and of course the price also cheap...

exmple : VGA cable RM50 ( i dont think this will looks better on PC monitor for HD )

when looking for the wireless & wired controller & wifi controller, us consumers must make sure we are getting the official ones and not some cheap unreliable knock-offs.

other stuff like cables, power brick(?), battery packs, headsets all also can buy 3rd party manufactured ones if u wanna save some costs. haha, most times buy stuff from pasar malam thread more trustworthy than SW shops

^ huh? did the 1st and 2nd poster sound righteous at all? TS just saw some knock-offs on sale and tells ppl. actually i myself is not sure if i'm able to spot the difference in packaging. haha, still very suspicious of my DS2 controller from p-a, not sure if its grade AAA or grade sony

if marauderz referin to the word said by the TS apply to ahem 360 games thn he is right in the fact tht the words used are a little righteous

well this things are for our information only...for my xbox360 ( accessories ) that i`ve purchased , all of them are the official Microsoft product, and non-of them are 3rd party things.

modded console owners are not going for the cheap price accessories for their console, like me most of my xbox360 games are originals and some of them are pirated version.

i will purchased the pirated version to try it out,if it is great then i will search it or pre-order it for the original version...

money doesnt matter for me, worth to spend it for my hobby...

well, this is just my opinion, and this statement may or may not be referring to you, so this is just general la k.

I still don't understand the theory of having the reason of modding your consoles so that you can buy ahem games to test them out before you decide to buy the original.

To me personally, I would rather not take any risks for anything to come in the future by modding my console just for that purpose. I mean, if i wanted to make sure that my game purchase would be worth my money, I'd either:

a) try out the demo if it's available
b) read reviews
c) just go to GH and try out before buying (i'm sure djinn's okay with this)

Don't get me wrong, cos i'm not bashing those with modded consoles since I was also a Jack Sparrow crew in my PS1 and PS2 days..but my main reason for modding was mainly about getting to buy cheaper versions of the games.

With what flexibility the x360 has to cater gamers' choice when buying games, I just find it funny for people to have the "try out" reason for modding. You're just risking yourself when there's always another alternative.

i havta agree wif Sd-RawK-Cab25, after all some game shops even let u try the game b4 u buy(ie GAMERS HIDEOUT?)so tht testing excuse is pretty much a cover up....no offence dude
