How about support for local apps like grab, boost, fave etc
Do they work with iOS12.getting ready to upgrade to iOS12 when public beta is released but scared that a lot of apps won’t be supported/crash
*
wouldn't recommend you to try on your prime phone.. i've seen some people in youtube ranting about app crash on ios 12..

Yeah, the focus was on refining the faults if the 11 and not on introducing new features, hence everyone is slamming the lack of "innovation". Maybe Apple should have had a release 11.5 for all these and something revolutionary for 12.

In all fairness though, there was nothing much of note in Android P as well.
*
well, still got some updates here and there in android P.
ios 12 on the other hand feels almost the same to ios 12. except for the group notification. I hope imessaging got new effects at least. tongue.gif

I think the best bit about iOS 12 is that it speeds up older devices. I'm just looking forward to see how much difference it will make in my mum's iPhone 5S laugh.gif
*
I did some searching on youtube, turns out ip6 will benefit more than ip5s in terms of performance.

Weird. soc A7 and A8 aren't that different in terms of CPU. only got huge upgrade in GPU

I'm kinda looking forward to seeing Group FT though, since my family members are all using i-devices and we FT quite a bit. Anyways I guess there are some bugs in it that need ironing out, which is why they have delayed it.
*
how's the quality between FT and WhatsApp video?

And FT uses 258MB data on a 1hr 37m call via 4G.
Does it mean it consume high data or low data?
*
my FT yesterday around 5 minute yields 14.8mb.
WhatsApp video around 5 minute yields 17mb.

thus, FT consume less data but retain high quality of video.

for your case, I believe ur data consumption would be higher using WhatsApp video

ios 12 on ip5s:

in terms of responsiveness, feels like using ios 10.3.3 again. but I do found minor hiccups here and there. But overall, it is a good upgrade from ios 11.

also, ram management has been improved. less reloading compared to ios 11. so I can back and forth from app A to app B and vice versa without issue

Judging from all the responses here, looks like ios12 is a good update. Will update mine now. But not sure what to look for in terms of speed since i still feel mine is fast.
*
ya..i see no changes in terms of speed on my ip6s. but on ip5s, there is improvement in terms of responsiveness

Updated my mum's 5S and my kid's iPad Mini 2 as well. While they aren't both blazing fast now, they do lag a little less than before. Good job, Apple thumbup.gif
*
yup. the splash screen still takes longer time, but at least the responsiveness is there.

Anyone else in iOS 12 experiencing strange color saturation and adjustment in portrait mode like this?
*
so far none on my 5s and SE..maybe exclusive towards OLED panel...

btw, if I want to update using IPSW, which one should I download for my 6s? Cellular or GSM?

I would rather have worst battery life than choppy performance. But so far no issue with my SE and 5s
