hi guys, I own a Myvi 1.5 Advance that comes with the touch screen HU, I find the sound quality to not be of my liking, wondering if anyone here knows if I should upgrade my speakers? there are 4 in my car 10cm front speakers (2) & 16cm rear speakers (2)


I don't need more bass, so no subwoofer required.

what do you need ? a heavy bass edm boom boom or "stage live singing" feel ?

think under 400, planning on buying speakers only and install myself

i mostly listen to rock, don't think heavy bass is a must

get a cheap component set speaker (tweeter,crossover & midbass speaker)

I find out most audio car guy are actually against coaxial set.

Does saperating the tweeters and mid bass make a huge difference?

i only add omni beyond speaker https://www.lazada.com.my/catalog/?spm=a2o4...ni%20beyond_0_1 . Bought at rm 255 with lazada voucher. Original price was 289 though but that seller doesnt seems to exist anymore. Not sure did i get the original one or not. Sound is decent, juz need tap in front speaker left and right wire.

Definitely much more better than stock and i purchased at rm 250.. for thaf price is definitely worth. Now all 388 i think. Just, despite it full range as the product claim, you still need woofer though. I installed an underseat active subwoofer but the bass kinda not bass enough for some reason. Someone told me to tap to rear speakers instead of front. Will try thi weekend

my 2013 myvi i install rockford replace the front 2 speakers. and added epilson underseat woofer. now planning to change Head Unit.
and i did it at EA autoworks.

Without upgrading the head unit, the cheapest and simplest upgrade for you from your stock speakers is to upgrade to a decent component set ( 6.5inch mids + tweeters). Dont get coaxial set you wont get much gain from the effort.
Budget around 200-500 should be good enough.

Be aware that there would be installation charges by ICE shops, wiring, and speakers mounts if required.

Go with this setup, if itchy and want more only add the rest.

In the market for 6.5inch, the optimal speakers max 45 watt RMS, and sensitivity 90 to 93.

Never go above 45 watt RMS, or you will probably end up forking extra $$$ buying an additional amplifier.
