I plan to buy a pair of shoes for jogging /running and rope skipping. MOST of the time,will be in gym jogging... outside jog ,maybe once a week ?

cant go wrong with Nike and converse for me.

i believe your best brand is about the durability, if so then i suggest u go for under armour. Their shoes are very durable and sustainable.

if in term of good brand for light weight, can look for new balance.

Brooks, Saucony, Asics, Mizuno, and other reputable shoe brands are good.

You can get a good deal during thier promo period or discounted sale. Brooks is having Raya sale now. Go to Brooks outlet like Sunway Pyramid, they have a foot scan to determine the proper type of running shoe fit for your foot.

Agreed with most above. there is no best brands. need to see your weight and running style as well. there is oso diff types of running shoes under same brand like minimalist or support.
brooks, asics, saucony, new balance are generally good brands for me.

even me ran quite handful of marathon still cant the best shoe yet, been buying those flagship model like kayano, ultraboost and whatsnot.

the best shoes for me so far, its saucony kinvara series. bought every series since kinvara 5.
