Hi peeps! I know this is a very very old thread but I feel this thread is really useful as most of us, intentionally or unintentionally wet our mobile phone. And now with smartphones which are way more vulnerable to humidity/water than the classic nokia handphones, we need this piece of info even more. Something new on solution for a wet mobile phone: My friend studying in the States actually introduced some dry-your-phone kit to me once when I dropped my S3 in the toilet (not into the toilet bowl though, phew!), just onto the super wet, almost flooded bathroom floor. But I couldn't find it anywhere in Malaysia and waiting for it to arrive from US is just not practical. Luckily my S3 survived the swim but I keep on wondering if there's such dry-your-phone kit available. Just in case, you never know when your phone decides to take another swim in the water. Anyway I forgot what is the brand of the kit that my friend introduced to me but these are some of the images that I can find online. Any sifus in the forum can provide info? I'm interested to test them.

QUOTE(magnumkaiser @ Oct 29 2013, 09:45 PM) usually i take out battery then hairdryer dry for few day still work but it old phone with nowadays phone not sure since its fragile Yes bro. Nowadays the smartphone is so fragile and each second counts when trying to dry the phone. That's why when my S3 kena water, my friend suggested a faster way to dry it using some kind of dry-your-phone kit. I tried to scout around but couldn't find it in Malaysia. The last time I went to Low Yat Plaza, I couldn't find similar kit that can dry your phone faster than household remedies like putting into the rice or silica gel, use hairdryer or the controversial alcohol solution.

Previously I was looking for some kind of dry-your-phone-kit in stores and online in Malaysia after my friend from the States intro them to me. But I couldn't find it anywhere so I asked my pal to send a few samples all the way from the States just to try it. And now, I have finally received them! At the back of the packaging, there is a moisture indicator (white box) that tells you if your phone is dry already or not. Apparently this is a one-time use kit. Inside the kit, there is a paper with instructions and one drying pack. The red arrow is showing the drying pack. Gonna start testing once I get unused phone from my sis. Anyone interested to try?
