It's not e-peening. He basically said he has experienced most of end-game PVE and have already quit WoW PVP. So the only thing left for him is casual play and RP.
*
how does a list of end game PVE accomplishments relate to PvP? Well logic dictates if you really want to justify being fed up of WoW PvP it would be better to list a long list of kills, BG victories, Arena ratings and all things PvP related.

other than e-peening..no other reason really LOL

However...with that list of accomplishments in the PVE side, some e-peening is inevitable biggrin.gif

My dear sir, I don't know if you turned off image loading on your browser; but his signature with his character stats has the icon of an Alliance Grand Marshal. He also mentioned quitting WoW PVP for quite some time.
*
LOL. I was amused by the need to string a whole lot of accomplishments to justify going to an RP server.

If i wanted to go to an RP server i would state this. Played WOW for X years, have experienced the whole PvP scenario and frankly am fed up. Please recommend a good RP server with friendly malaysians. Thank you.

If you didnt already grasp the point i was making is that going into an RP server is merely choice. There;s no need to list your "WoW virtual resume" as justification because you dont need to other than for e-peening purposes smile.gif

Considering that even his rank is now thrown in just reinforces my point further.

I'm not sure what is your relationship with the poster but you are getting a little ruffled by this. Relax, this is merely a game.

wow is serious business, get ur facts straight.

see that? everyone has their opinions on wow, dont throw in the "this is merely a game" BS. probably works 10 years ago, but the gaming industry nowdays is a totally different setting than what it was say 10 years ago.
*
Unless you work in Blizzard and are one of the developers probably. If you are merely a user then you are on the other end of the spectrum. A consumer, a gamer, probably using your tweaked up machine from a loan from Momma to feed your obsession.

Don't think you're a WoW Developer with blizzard, so yes it's still very much a game.

QUOTE(ray123 @ May 25 2007, 01:03 PM)
If I am defending someone, surely I must be related to the person? Way to go, Mr. Subjectivity. I have no idea who he is.

You're going off the totally wrong tangent. Admit it, the moment you saw he wanted to reroll on an RP server, your eyebrow probably went up and wondered "why?". At least I know I did. Probably the OP himself did too.

How is the way he listed his PvE experience any way different from the example you have given, except that he was more specific in his post? I  only mentioned that he is an Alliance GM because you said he should have listed his PVP experiences to backup the fact that he was fed up with PVP. I (and not him, btw) merely pointed out to you that his very signature bore the mark of an Alliance GM, thus it's not needed to list his PVP experience. It did not say anything about PvE, thus you saying it's all e-peen when he explained his PvE experience is a little presumptuous.

I have no idea why you are getting so riled up. I just pointed out a fact that you apparently missed and all of a sudden I must have a relationship with the OP.
*

sigh

my post...

..."I'm not sure what is your relationship with the poster ...."

relationship can mean friend, colleague, stranger.... oh nvm

doh.gif

ps: the word you would have wanted to use would be "Mr Objectivity" - hence adding that sarcastic edge you seek in that sentence by implying i am presumptious. Subjectivity rather is completely the opposite since I'm clearly not speaking from the subject's point of view...and also it doesn't fit the context.

no biggie smile.gif

i am a user so? ive never claimed to be a developer or anything of that sort. i am merely saying gaming nowdays is being played/marketed/viewed differently as what it was before.

heard of e-sport? hell, you've AT LEAST heard of counterstrike or starcraft or warcraft 3? yes, thats what i meant, people can just game and make a living out of it.

at this point, it is evolving to that direction as well for WoW, and no, i dont mean illegal gold farming.

whatever obsession i have especially in particular to gaming is of my own business. who are you to even insult me in that regards? hell, you've never taken a single cent from your mom? you already have an income since your a f***ing fetus already? i dont think so. just fyi, i paid at least 60-70ish% of that 13k rig i own. not many is capable or is willingly to invest/pay that much for their pc. so shove it, you fail.

you're right, it's your obsession.

You can laugh it off if you like. The point is you mocked someone, I pointed out a fact that you have missed, you made a passing assumption, and you made an ass out of yourself.

You still haven't understood my reply have you? A tip perhaps. Less WoW and a bit more reading should improve comprehension in due time. I would stop embarassing myself if i were you and consider re-reading my post carefully.

added:

For the love of God....PMS refers to the whole behavioural, emotional rollercoaster some women go through normally linked to hormonal changes due to their approaching cycle....and yes...really...NO bleeding is involved.

really...NONE

Less WoW and a bit more reading should improve comprehension and general knowledge too in due time

Not sure how u can have a relationship with a stranger.

He didn't mean to be sarcastic in his post. Being presumptious on that part kinda squashed ur "Mr.Ojectivitivity" image ?
1. For the benefit of others:

application:

Q: "What is your relationship with the defendant?"

A: He is my father.

or

Q: "What is your relationship with the poster?"

A: Don't know 'em. He's just the guy that orders an expresso to go every morning.

2. His obvious use of the term MR. Objectivity (or subjectivity though erroneous) in the context of the statement......you know what.... nvm

1 - Father - son relationship.
2 - None. I do not know him.

That's how the law interprets the response. I am in my 3rd yr of law.  drool.gif

Actually, thats just proper english (well.. how english was taught in my day anyways)

QUOTE(ray123 @ May 25 2007, 06:58 PM)
Sarcastic or not, correctly used or not; note that in the very beginning I was merely politely pointing out something obvious that you have missed. I have no malicious intention, otherwise I would have said something like "Are you blind? Can't you see his sig has an Alliance GM symbol?" when you said it was better for him to list his PvP accomplishments if he was fed up with PvP. However you took it the wrong way and seem to think that I was "ruffled" and related to the OP.
*
I don't know how you came about with this silly notion that i implied that you are related with the poster? It was a neutral question and phrased as such to add weight as to why you seem so eager to defend the OP.. if you have doubts please refer to your English Lit lecturer or pick up a grammar book. This is in no way an insult, please do not misintepret again.

I'm sorry but you have failed to understand my earlier post. You have held onto a warped point, taken out of context and completely gone off-tangent.

The realisation that you're only in your 3rd year of law and that I'm practically more than a decade older, makes me feel rather stupid for even trying to argue (or point out errors in syntax) with youth.

This is just a classic case of miscommunication further compounded with the fact that we're generations apart. Nothing more.

So a very good day... peace out or whatever hip words you kids use these days.

Stefan

PS It's German.
