Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has cried foul over the conduct of Chief Justice Richard Malanjum, attorney-general Tommy Thomas and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Liew Vui Keong.

This is over a video of them dancing to the 1960s tune of Let's Twist Again by American rock 'n roll singer Chubby Checker during the Legal Year 2019 event earlier this month.

"The viral video of a dance event involving personalities such as Liew, Malanjum, Thomas and lawyers who are seen as pro-Pakatan Harapan such as Ambiga Sreenevasan and Siti Kasim is an embarrassment to the judicial and legal institutions of this country," he said.

Asyraf said those who are part of the country's judicial and legal institutions, particularly a judge, should be sensitive in their social interactions.

"What more for the chief justice and attorney-general to socialise with politicians and high-profile individuals - it can certainly court controversy and erode the people's trust in their decisions," he said.

Asyraf stressed that justice must not only be done but also seen to be done.

"Umno Youth expresses disappointment at the viral video which has hurt the reputation of the judicial and legal system, particularly the institution of the chief justice and attorney-general...," he said.

He also claimed that their conduct breached ethics and raises conflict of interest.

See.

Hadi's Islam is not about spreading love and devotion to people. Is about power. Is about turning our country to a Saudi Arabia and the likes.

I mean if Saudi Arabia and likes are role model of good governance I don't mind. But they are barbaric and immoral countries. Why the hell do we want to follow them?

Bodoh!

The bodoh is not so much with Mr Hadi. The bodoh is what he incites, actually has a lot of appeal to his audience. He got market.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 — Civil rights lawyer Siti Kasim has hit back at critics of a video of Attorney-General Tommy Thomas and Chief Justice Tan Sri Richard Malanjum dancing at a legal fraternity social event last night.

In a post on her Facebook account, Siti said it is only rational that the “top guns” of the industry to attend the gala dinner hosted by Sabah Law Society to commemorate the Opening of the Legal Year 2019.

“We were in a legal function. Of course the top guns in the legal area will be there,” Siti said in a post, attaching an earlier critical report by Malay daily Sinar Harian.

“No wonder under Barisan Nasional, everything shuts down. Pretenders and hypocrites the lot of them.

“At least we were not hiding anything. It’s just a normal dinner where we ‘enjoy’ ourselves. Or have they not recognise this word anymore?” she asked.

Siti also pointed out that critics will always come up to a negative conclusion after the two were criticised for fraternising with prominent lawyers and activists.

“If you have integrity, self-respect and honesty, you will remain so under whatever circumstances,” she added.

The video with Thomas and Malanjum was shot during a gala dinner last night in Kota Kinabalu, hosted by the Sabah Law Society in conjunction with the Opening of the Legal Year 2019.

The two were dancing popular 60s rock ‘n roll tune Let’s Twist Again by Chubby Checker, which popularised the twist dancing mania.

The video was also said to feature minister in charge of law Datuk Liew Vui Keong, and prominent lawyers and activists Datuk S. Ambiga and Siti Kasim

"Hadi himself has persistently advocated a kind of religious apartheid state where non-Muslims would be barred from holding high office, reduced to “dhimmitude” in their own country and subject to a form of shariah law that is so harsh that even Muslim countries shy away from it."

If you are follower of pak Hadi, wake the fuck up! You are destroying your family's future.

Most of the problems i think is not because of the religion or the believers of the religion themself.

problems comes from religious leaders who are manipulators ... so much for being "experts".

you see.. if you are the follower... you critizised them, argue, or disagree with them you'll be labelled infidels orj jatuh kafir (budaya kafir mengkafir), you must kembali ke jalan yang "benar" which is to shut up and just follow, the "herds" mentality. if you dont you are infidels. applies to all party members.

Like hadi said, “If it's not political it's not Islam,”. imo he is turning his politics into a religion. His words are the "truth". is he god? tunjuk no parti ahli pas masuk syurga.

I think Hadi or people like him is not the biggest problem, it is the people who surrender their brains to him ...Strip Hadi from his herd, he is reduced to an individual with an odd fantasy of his religion, which we have all the time even in this forum ...
