I will even include a high-res 1000p version of the transformers trailer 1 and 2 if you want tongue.gif

Just noticed the gameplay video is not on the website yet?
*
Not yet, tomorrow ACT (ASEAN Common Time) it will be available (oh add to that, this factor: When will Blizzard US get up from their sleep.)

The launching of the Blizzard US site was delayed because they're sleeping during the announcement in Korea. The Blizzard Korea site was updated hours before the US site tongue.gif

You can check my YouTube account if you want to watch the gameplay trailer #1 and #2... http://www.youtube.com/Laibcoms

I am so disappointed that its Starcraft 2.....I was hopping it would be DotA 2

Blizzard don't care about DotA anymore...

*Sob* *Sob*
*
DotA was never their game. They don't earn a single dime from it.

People just buy pirated WC3 or download a bootleg copy, then download the freeware DotA... no money for Blizzard. Unless they support it on Battle.Net, which I haven't bothered checking... I dont like DotA, it killed WC3 RTS. Just like how I hate Counter-Strike, for killing REAL FPS.

Trivia: Do you know that the Protoss Dragoon unit is now gone?

The Dragoon centre was infested by the Zergs during the invasion of Planet Aiur and they never had any other building like that anywhere. The Dragoons that were left are the last of the unit.

The Protoss then came up with a great plan, they enhanced the Dragoon unit so greatly, they were named "Immortal", but with a price, they are weaker with small armaments, but is strong against heavy artillery.

Immortals are best used against the Terran Siege Tanks.

Trivia: With the Protoss Dragoon gone forever, the exiled Dark Templars though of a brilliant idea. Being an exiled Protoss because of their beliefs, and the (Light) Protoss suffering a loss from the Zerg infestation, they developed a new unit that will replace the lost Dragoon - the Dark Protoss Stalker.

Extra Trivia: Do you know that the infamous Protoss Reaver is now gone? How about the popular Protoss Carrier? Blizzard said, being Americans themselves, they want to incapacitate the Koreans using too much of the Reaver and the Carrier... okay, just kidding... no official word yet about the Protoss Reaver and Protoss Carrier tongue.gif

i can't wait to know how the story goes. what is the fate of the terran UED after kerrigan destroyed their toy overmind and crush their base. and the same goes to protoss, who fled after failling to win over kerrigan though they had joined forces with UED.
*
The UED is very well alive. They don't belong to the Koprulu Sector (K-Sector), the UED's homebase is Planet Earth itself, and they have occupied a great deal of the sector where Earth is located.

Kerrigan's Zerg, the Overmind Zerg, the (Light) Protoss, the Dark Protoss, and the K-Sector Humans all have no idea where Earth is located, so it is impossible for anyone of them to find and attack Planet Earth.

Regardless, the sector of Earth (for simplicity's sake let's call it the E-Sector for Earth Sector), is heavily defended for sure, since the UPL (predecessor of UED) watched over the K-Sector Humans for a long-time, and they sure prepared themselves against the possible onslaught of the Zerg and Protoss races to Earth.

We haven't seen what the UED is capable of, one thing we know, the UED is superior than the K-Sector Humans, and they only sent a small regiment of the UED force to the K-Sector, more like a "scout" regiment only, "testing" themselves and advance reconnaissance.

UED will be back, but they have to unite all the Human factions in the K-Sector first or it will be the fall of the Human race, at least in the K-Sector.

New Units:
  • Immortal (Protoss Unit): Before the loss of Aiur, veteran protoss warriors who had been crippled in battle could volunteer to continue their service by being transplanted into dragoon exoskeletons. Now, the dragoons of the past are all but gone... More Info...
  • Stalker (Protoss Unit): Inspired by the ancient and honored dragoon walkers the dark templar have begun to build war machines of their own. • Gateway / Warp Gate (Protoss Building): The protoss' ability to manipulate time and space far surpasses the limited understanding of other races. A gateway is a structure capable of opening a spatial rift via which protoss forces can be warped directly from their home territories to the battlefield... More Info...
  • Colossus (Protoss Unit) - A large quad-legged vehicle that fires strong dual lasers. This unit can also traverse differences in terrain height. In the Artwork/Gameplay trailer on Blizzard's site, it appears to "steal" what looks like energy from the unit it is attacking. (wikipedia)
  • Phoenix (Protoss Unit) - An aircraft that can overcharge guns for multiple projectile blasts. However, after the initial blast the ship is rendered inert for a short period of time, unable to move or attack. (wikipedia)
  • Warp Ray (Protoss Unit) - An aircraft that attacks with a blue laser, dealing more damage as it focuses on the same target. It is powerful against tough units and buildings, but wastes damage on small units and can be quickly overcome. (wikipedia)
  • Mothership (Protoss Unit) - A powerful hovering unit that consumes an extreme amount of resources to produce. It is able to attack multiple units at time, and has three unique abilities, which are the Time Bomb, Planet Cracker, and Black Hole. The Time Bomb ability slows all enemy units and stops missile attacks. The Planet Cracker ability is a large laser that fires from the bottom of the Mothership, obliterating anything in its field. The Black Hole ability creates a void that absorbs and destroys enemy aircrafts. Only one Mothership can be active at a time. (wikipedia)
  • Nydus Worm (Zerg Unit) - A transport unit that transports small units such as zerglings from underground. (wikipedia)
  • Baneling (Zerg Unit) - A mutated Zergling filled with explosive and acidic chemicals that can roll across terrain and explode on impact. (wikipedia)
  • Reapers (Terran Unit) - A unit much like the Marines, but carrying dual machine pistols. It has a jump jet allowing it to hop down or up a tier, making it effective for exploiting weak spots in an elevated base. (wikipedia)

Updated Units:
  • Zealot (Protoss Unit): Zealots are peerless templar warriors who have yet to achieve the uppermost ranks of the Khala. Ever eager for battle, zealots train constantly to attune themselves more closely to the Khala's disciplines and prove themselves worthy of advancement. They exemplify the unbridled ferocity of the protoss at war... More Info...
  • Zergling (Zerg Unit)

Gone:
  • Dragoon (Protoss Unit), replaced by Immortals

@Laibeus Lord

I think another old unit that is gone could be Protoss Shuttle, since it's replaced by Phase Prism which functions similarly to Shuttle.

I could be wrong.

QUOTE(revivar @ May 20 2007, 02:41 PM)
I thought phase prism is more like arbiter's recall ability, no?

But with the Nydus Worm around, i'm expecting Nydus Canal is gone too...
*
Yep, we're actually thinking the same thing... me and my friends discussing about it. Though its hard to tell if the Protoss Shuttle was replaced by the Protoss Phase Prism.. it does appear to have replaced instead the Protoss Arbiter.

And the Nydus Canal seems to be replaced by Nydus Worm.

What do you think guys? You think it to be so? If it is, then I'll include it in the list biggrin.gif

yah haha...

I think they decided to create a new SC2 gameplay trailers... after all, the WWI 2007 gameplay trailers are abundant already tongue.gif YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video, name it tongue.gif

Even the YouTube Clones have SC2 videos. hahaha...

Blizzard: "Hey, let's create a new gameplay video, if they upload this to YouTube, then we sue them... we'll let them go for the WWI 2007 Gameplay videos."

Blizzard QA: "Awesome... means more delay! That's more Blizzard like"

No official release date yet.

Some "top-tier" gaming sites are claiming that "Blizzard said" it will be for sale on October, November and December (depending on which gaming site you are reading).

But majority of those who were at the WWI 2007 event said Blizzard never said anything, but rather replied back when asked that they have no target date.

So, either we believe those high-respected gaming sites who are telling us October, November and December, or we believe the majority of the press and independent reporters tongue.gif

System Requirements, no they have not posted anything about it yet.

Combination of Protoss+Zerg for me.

It's sad, current info points to the reaver being a thing of the past, unless they find a way to balance all three races. The Protoss Immortal and Protoss Stalker are powerful enough, there is no more place for a useful unit like the Protoss Reaver sad.gif

Then the Protoss Mothership and another unit.. seems to have replaced the Protoss Carrier...

How can the Mothership replace the carrier when only 1 is allowed at a time?Mothership is supposed to be a superweapon for the Protoss it will be expensive as hell but when it is unleased watch out.

There are still a ton of units that is still not revealed yet.
*
More on the firepower and resources.

Creating a 6 carriers "may" be the same as creating Mothership in terms of resources. Then the Mothership's firepower is the same as having fully-loaded 4 carriers.

Dunno the 'exact' computation but I'm thinking along that line. I may be wrong, but something like that. Then considering what other new units that could fill up the purpose of having a Carrier unit. With those two new units, there "may" be no more place or a purpose for a carrier.

Which is sad, I love Carriers and Reavers, very good combination.

Some discussions going on the different SC2 ... well lots of them...

I will touch on the 'replaced' old units thing:

compiling:
--------
Possible Units to be removed:

Nydus Canal (Zerg building) - could be replaced by the mobile version -> Nydus Worm (Zerg Unit).

Protoss Reaver (Protoss Unit) - the purpose and usability of this unit overlaps with the new unit that replaced the Protoss Dragoon, which is the new Protoss Immortal. Additionally, the new Protoss Stalker is also overlaps with the usability of the Protoss Reaver, or could be replaced by the new Protoss Colossus.

Protoss Carrier (Protoss Unit) - there is an overlap with the new Protoss Mothership and the new Protoss Warp Ray, Protoss Phoeniex, and evne Protoss Colossus (depending on how you look at it).

Terran Firebat - possibly replaced by the new Terran Reaper.

-----------------

Discuss tongue.gif hehehe....

I think Protoss Phoenix will replace Scout.

Firebat should be there because it's suppose to be a melee unit for terran while Reaper is more like a harassing unit and a bit like Zone Trooper.
*
Good point there.
And yes, that's another one... Protoss Phoenix to replace the Protoss Scout.

---
Really interesting here as well is the fast-mode of the Zealots. Makes them more useful now unlike with SC1, they're pretty useless unless you are playing DeathMatch (ie rush-game).

AMEN TO THAT!!

DOTArds GTHell!! You can't kill a god!!

StarCraft is god, we don't need to "Defend" the "Ancients", we don't need "Heroes", we are the Heroes, StarCraft is "the" god of RTS, it will even RULE THE KING (C&C is claiming to be the King of RTS).

StarCraft = god
C&C = king

StarCraft > C&C > WC3 > DOTArds!!

Thank you Blizzard!!!
