I dont think you will be refunded given the way GST works. That's why we also refused to receive deposit unless customer are ok with no billing (just basic trust that we will deduct the deposit from the total amount when issuing invoice next month). Once you issue an invoice, you have to pay GST for it, regardless if it is an advance payment or deposit for something that will happen next month when GST is over.
