Ok i got a little too excited when tested positive on pregnancy test kit 3 days straight. I can't be sure how late period is because it s haywire for the past few months. Range from 18 days to 28 days.
I went to gynae to confirm but he said it s too early but gave me an ultrasound anyway. There s thickening but he said not be optimistic too fast cos sometimes ppl miscarriage at this stage and come out as delayed period.

But he gave me progesterone pills Duphaston 2 pill a day for 2 weeks. No blood test. Has anyone been prescribed with this during early pregnancy? My friends dont remember wating this when they re pregnant.. I get headache after eating and ankle seems to swell too. Anyone ever prescribed with this?

if im not mistaken, the hormone pills are just to make sure you are on track for the pregnancy.

Progesterone helps thicken the lining of the uterus to prepare for a fertilized egg.
So if not enough progesterone, can have miscarriage.

Ur period also irregular (means hormone irregular) hence ur doc give you progesterone just to be on the safe side.

Until next checkup with ur doc, he will advice you if need to continue or not.

Just an update: I went to another experienced gynae and she told me I can stop the pill gradually. I had prolong the interval of taking the pills to now zero. Not only the pills gives me headache, I have the worst ever acid reflux.
