Three years ago, you can find skeleton prisoners very easily, but now, their location has changed.... And the geffen tower is now full of hunter flies..

Just keep orc claws and skel bones for a minigun.

For those who are leveling on metallings, keep all the rusty screws for making guns. Don't sell to npc.

Giving up places packed with bots means the bots rule out honest players and honest players lose to them. FIGHT!!! (I know, saying it is easy, but what can be done. I hate bots.) GMs still do nothing...

Alt-F4 won't log off your character immediately, your character will stay there for some time, so, it's useless.

The build I favour for a gunslinger will be Dex/Int/Vit. Shotgun works fantastically well with this build.
Aspd is not important for this kind of build since the purpose of having int is for spamming skills. And the point is the skills delay have nothing to do with aspd.

Another build I know of is the universal Agi/dex, like archers.

BUT, I think rifles will work better for agi/dex. The new rifle, jungle carbine increases aspd while long-barrel adds 1% chance of casting lv5 tracking/aiming. So, they are made for agi gunslingers, I believe.

The skill, Aiming loses to the more offensive skills, Bullet shower and Full buster when it comes to aggresive fights. You decide.....

The new shotgun, Thunder-P also increases aspd.

For WOE/pvp purpose, VIT/ Dex is the way to go.

Added on June 16, 2007, 7:24 pmThis is the guide I followed, taken from an RO related forum. smile.gif But, this is heavily focused on PVP and WOE.

""First up, stats:

The all important question... "Is agility useful for my gunslinger?" The answer is NO. None of the good skills are aspd based. If you want a class where you use normal attacks at a fast speed, go with an agi/dex hunter(though I would suggest an int/dex hunter build that spams DS). Their weapons have more slots, higher atk, more choices for elements without endows and they get more dex, and more aspd. But wait, what about Gatling guns?! They're useless. One slot and low atk. Gunslingers have awesome skills, make use of that.

For dexterity, I suggest one of two numbers. 91 base or 90 base. A gunslinger's job bonus to dex is 9, 91+9 if you dont want dex gear, or 90+20(AoA and 2 nimble gloves) if you do.

Vitality is a tricky one to make suggestions on. Personally I find 60(59+1) to be perfect. Nice hp, good healing from potions, not dying in one hit to occult/acid demo.... all very good things. Others prefer higher vit, but I will suggest at least 60.

A gunslinger will never have enough sp regen from intelligence during a heavy pvp/woe situation. So why get int? Ease of leveling, mdef, more sp from items, max sp. My suggestion for int lies right on a base of 60. But what about the job bonus? Its +2, that doesnt end on a multiple of 6! (the formula for sp regen is [int/6]+[maxsp/100]) Simple answer, Bless. 72(60+12) is a multiple of 6, gives decent regen and is not too high (high stats cost lots of points).

For luck.... base 9, from starting your novice. Almost all status effects are reduced by luck/3.

And finally, strength. Max weight capacity is important for WoE, you may want to think about adding a bit here towards the end of your build(upper 90s). More potions and more bullets can never be bad.""

Added on June 17, 2007, 8:21 amThe best advantage in VIT gunslinger is its ability to mob with desperado(handgun skill) With the help of a high priest and with a double minorous/goblin garrison, you can go and mob majorous in GH. Agi gunners can't do that.

"""pure woe
Str: 10+4
Agi: 1+1
Vit: 80+1
Int: 60+2
Dex: 99+9
Luk: 9+7
-Full Blast - 10
-Desperado -10

pure pvm
Str: 10+4
Agi: 80+1
Vit: 59+1
Int: 22+2
Dex: 91+9
Luk: 1+7
-desperado -10
in fact all handgun skills..."""

Quote:
""Once you hit somewhere between levels 80~85, the real fun begins. Mobbing Majorous. With a double titan garrison and ice endow, you too can mob like this: http://gogilitan.travisbsd.org/vasi.avi. Party with a high priest and rake in the experience.""

My words, you can believe it, it's real and you can do exactly the same in official servers, but it's almost impossible to go there at our free server without fly wings or teleport. You will be already half dead at several maps before that majorous map. smile.gif

Nope, what I mean is are they any players already achieved trancedent jobs. biggrin.gif I think it's very hard with such rate. Even if you level at a few times more rates, it will still take a very determined player to achieve it.

Now, this is no different than high-rate private servers with free-heal NPCs. WTF?? Mro indeed sucks.

You won't be able to do that in this free server, because no one can get to that map in glast heim without wing of flies. Anolians, gargoyles, and arclouse.

That guy who made that video clip is from the P.S I'm playing in. He already quitted.

There is no way you can teleport directly to Einbroch, Lighthalzen and Hugel. You need to board an airship from Izlude town. It's like boarding a bus in real life.

Oh, the direct teleport I meant is from NPC like kafra. There is no way you can teleport to those cities from kafra.

As for the warp portal, that acolyte guy must have saved the save point in that city, so he can teleport to it as he wishes by using 1 blue gem stone. That's teleport level 2. (I've no experience in that though as the characters I have only played so far are hunter, gunner, merchant and swordman..)

Leveling a novice is best done in the novice training ground. And, I believe there is no way to get back to the training ground once you leave it.

If you talk to everyone in the training ground, you should receive some novice potions and some special novice equips. Those enables you to defeat spores and rockers in the training ground.

Yes, it's tough to level outside as a novice.

What character is it? Archer?

If it's ranged character, then you can try Isis in pyramid lv4. Just beware of mimics and matyrs.

New player here..
Am playing gunslinger and found that this job is UNBELIEABLELY difficult to play >_>

Well, questions is..
Where can I buy the basic equipment for gunslinger? I know in the eibroch got sell rifles and gun, but others than in eibroch, any others places? How bout the defensive item?

Thanks..

It's actually not that hard, you must learn how to hit and run and the starting stats. The key in the begining is DEX. Keep other stats like agi, int, vit, str at minimal and bring dex to at least 60+. Then save some money and buy a cyclone[1]. The extra hit rate and critical rate will help beginners.

You must master the tactic of hit-and-run(Don't stand still!) Go down the map below einbroch city and hit drops and poporings. When your snakes' eye is improved(which gives you more range like archer's vulture eye), start to GUN-and-run metallings! Buy the cyclone[1] as soon as you can.

REMEMBER: DEX is your priority, DON'T touch anything until you get your dex to 60+. Without that level, you won't be able to hit geographers consistently.

You don't need defensive items at start, believe me. I played until lv70+ and killed a Garm(MVP) without armours at all. Focus on your weapons.

No, all the GS equips are only available in Einbroch.

Yes, there is no tool dealer in Einbroch....>.>

Continue killing metallings until you feel that the exp they give is starting to slow down...

Make a merchant and put him in a town where you can buy those healing items. Then put all the items you bought into your kafra storage. Do you have a merchant?

Easiest is to make a merchant with lv10 discount and also max out overcharge and NPC all your loots with it. The merchant will be your money holder as well. Another advantage is when you feel like shopping, you don't have to travel all the way back to prontera. Just use your merchant with alot of money.

If you play in the P.S im playing in, you will find that bots can't survive long... It's bot-free. Mro is horrible... Just go in and try to bot, will get caught in a few days..

You botters reallly get on my nerves.

To be honest u cant survive at Geo without a priest help.... Normally when u got hit by geographer , ur char hardly move... Even with vitata clip is useless..

Not true, if you can survive it's first hit, you can still run away. The motion you see is animation lag, you just can't see your character running but it's moving actually. smile.gif

By the way, this is me mvping Atros alone as a gunslinger at lv97(int,vit,dex built). It took me 1 hour to kill because I did not know it's shadow element. Authoritive badges are a must in outrunning that atros. I was sooo happy that night that I could not sleep properly.

Sad that I don't play in mRO...
