Greetings to the community of mobile. I was thinking about getting a friend of mine either a Samsung Galaxy s8 or a Galaxy s9 for her 21st birthday.
However, I can't decide if i should get her the s8 or the s9. I'm not entirely sure if s9 is worth the price tag seeing double lens is a s9+ only feature, can't get her plus version as it's too big for her hands haha. I looked up AR emoji(something she would like) and it was lambasted for S9 lack of sensors that makes it inferior to Apple's Animoji and, s10 was tipped to have better sensors. So that made me think if i should get her the S8 then maybe the S10 when it released? or should i get her the s9 and trade in for the s10? I need your opinions!

Here are some facts that I've considered thus far;
She has a low spec phone with inadequate storage space - (hence I wanted to get her a new phone)
She recently got a headphone from her dad, which is why I was thinking of getting samsung - (headphone jack)
She likes photography. - (I'm not too sure if there's a big improvement S9 has over the S8 that justifies the price tag.
She likes to play with snapchat filters and bitmoji ( she didn't get to play with bitmoji due to lack of storage space, she played with my phone instead)
She likes to watch movies on her phone because her laptop has connectivity issues. I read up that s9 has upgraded speakers, but is s8 speaker that bad?

Or simply ask her which phone she likes.

She doesn't know much about phones and she would decline if she knew I was going to gift her one. It's meant to be a surprise with a letter of gratitude for being a very great friend of mine etc. haha

Then put Huawei P20 into your consideration list. This phone is popular among females and it's cheaper too.

I was actually geared up to buy her a p20 until I realize it opt out headphone jack. The twilight color was a very very big plus but i'm pretty sure she would want to have a phone with headphone jack so she could pair it up with her dad's birthday gift - a headphone.

Its a big deal if u always use earphone jack. The jack can be easily misplace or accident disconnect due to multiple connection.

S8 is mono speaker - 1 speaker
S9 is dual speaker

Once you get used to infinity display is hard for one to consider an ordinary screen with top notch wannabe.

Here are why samsung s9 will be a better choice

Infinity display and curve edge its very beautiful to keep looking at icons looks floating

Modern UIX makes hua wei display boring and dull

Samsung pay make mobile payment with your phone and earn amazing rewards - hua wei dont have

Wireless charging- charge phone without plug cable

I tested my friend hua wei the phone keep oversharpening images make it looks unreal.

Your favourite earphone jack available.
