Which is your preference .. 3 series/F30 4years old with low mileage or new CRV/ 1.5 with 2WD.

Wondering how much is the typical service cost and replacement parts since is 4yrs old while new CRV has warranty for 5yrs.

I tried both and like them .. CRV has more features but lack of oomph compared to F30.

Would like to hear from kaki motors .. 😁

f30 maintenance higher than CRV
CRV better cabin space, ride higher, better legroom

Check below

1. Practicality (CRV)
2. Performance (F30)
3. Cost of Maintenance/ Ownership (CRV)
4. Aesthetic / Image (F30)
5. Banjir Kilat KL (CRV)
6. Active car club (F30)

If you're single, go with F30. You can burn many cash on the F30 without your wife whining. Already started a family? opt with CRV for long term family planning. Kids, Ikea furniture shopping and occasion driving through high water level floods, CRV would be a practical champ. The interior for CRV is futuristic, whole F30 has the element of class and sporty feel.

Ancap rating is just to rate how safe a car is. Common road cars nowadays are much safer than older days. If you ask me having a bigger car still better and safer. More void and space allows room for deformation compared to a small car

Thanks for the response.
I am driving FD CIVIC, so I understand is a different segment compared to CRV.
Btw, I don’t like in KL so I don’t worry too much of flash flood plus I have 1kid aged 8yrs.

Yup .. plus Taiping does not much flood and most of the time will be town driving and occasionally Pg or Ipoh.
CRV has many high tech features with legroom while F30's performance is well better than it.
I am not too concern of Maintenance cost .. worried more about the reliability issues like gearbox etc.

X5 is way out of budget plus I really don't need such a big car.
Agreed CRV handling is not as good as sedan .. only advantage is higher and bigger space/ legroom.

you don't need a big car then why CR-V is in your list?

Just buy the BMW, period.
