Woohoo! Finally after waiting for years, hotstar came natively to my 7400. Too bad will be short-lived as I'm pulling the trigger for either S95C or X85L. hmm... decisions.

Anyone using 65inch QN95B? Is MY version using VA or ADS panel?

Received and install 65inch QN95B in my parents' house... very bright panel. The highlights are especially popping.

How much damage bro? Does your interface lag when switching between apps?

Maybe can consider A95L if you can afford it. A bit surprised Sony Msia decided to bring this model in. S95C is ok but the overall software experience and image processing wont be as refined as the Sony based on user feedback on other forums
*
The harvey dude I was liaising with also recommended me to wait for the new A95L series to come in because of the XR Proc and DV, however I'm just worried about the Sony timer urban legend stuff. sweat.gif
Of course the price for that model is much more expensive too. sweat.gif

Sony timer urban legend stuff?

Since u are getting QD OLED i assume you are aiming for the best image quality, might as well go all out for the best biggrin.gif A95L vs S95C RRP is 5k difference, but I believe S95C can be had for a lower price now

Wonder those with access with Samsung's EPP can get the S95C at what price. Aiming for the best PQ comes with the best wallet pain too. tongue.gif

Cant access EPP anymore since Samsung refresh and removed my sister account after she resigned from Grab.

The last time I checked was 13k for 65inch S95C IIRC. Impossible to get S95B dumping price. Back then really worth but too bad I hesitated. I think it was 8999 lastime and there is even a 5% off for first purchase. On top of that, Samsung had this RM1000 TNG offer for QD OLED. Final price is 7.5k or so after deducting everything but I just bought a X90J a year earlier. Tempted my parents to upgrade but they refused. Then their TV died a year later but no more offer liao. In the end, got a QN95B for RM6850 with RM600 TNG offer.

Thanks for the info. S95C quite expensive jugak for EPP. How nice if their TVs also follow their Galaxy range that drop prices after a few months. Too bad about your parent's situation though, just bad timing je, but QN95B at RM6250 not bad jugak.

Try checking with stores like One Living or Desa Home Theater. I got my QN85C from One Living after checking with my friend who have EPP, surprisingly One Living price is cheaper. However the catch is that's usually cash price. If you want to do installment there's usually a fee for 24 months and above.

If S95C too exp maybe its worth considering S90C also. Basically almost same as S95B from last year with some software and processing improvements. But you will most likely get the first gen QD OLED panels also. S95C will be 2nd gen panels. Also with S90C you get 4x full bandwidth 48 gbps HDMI 2.1. On S95C its capped at 40 gbps only due to hardware limitations in the One Connect Box
*
If it wasn't for the reviewer's surprising find, I think Samsung would have carried on quietly about it's 40gbps. shakehead.gif

Yes... You need to wait for EOL sale.

Normal EPP at most also 30% off... If EOL sale, then can get 50%.

So if you want S95C then wait for next year.

Wokay, thanks for the good info bros. notworthy.gif

Finally bit the bullet and bought a 65" S95D. Currently enjoying the super bright panel, but at times can be too bright, and most of all, my family doesn't have to suffer sitting awkwardly trying to view the show with the reflection of lights in the background.

S95D is not that much brighter than S95C.

The S95C can get up to 1500 nits. Meaning you can also do the same with the much cheaper S90C (2nd gen version) by changing the setting from service menu.
So 1600 nits is barely an improvement.

What the gen3 QD-OLED was really improving is the dark color saturation , the tracking is far more accurate OOTB.
If the sunlight is really distracting from the outside , getting a thicker curtain would a better solution.

Because the matte filter is NOT exactly a solution from direct reflection. AR coating is more efficient than Matte but the it will raise the cost significantly.
Matte surface drastically lower the contrast under normal viewing condition , lower contrast is counterproductive to an OLED TV.

The only situation I would consider a S95D is if your entire room is pitch black , otherwise the raised black level is extremely distracting.
It doesn't look much better than its LCD counterpart like QN95D but with the risk of burn ins.
There are several comparison where the S95C simply look better in a bright room because Samsung previous antiglare was already considered the best in class in the field.

What Samsung did to their 2024 flagship OLED is confusing. When the monitors are trying to move from matte to glossy , they did the exact opposite.

Sorry, somehow this thread didn't pop up in my notice alert for some reason.

Anyway bro, if I spent all my time finding faults in every version release, I don't think I'll be buying anything at all for several years. They'll always be an issue with every model update. S95C had people complaining that it wasn't true 48Gbps, signal drops during gaming due to some HDMI voltage issue in the one connect box etc.; S95B having flickering during gaming, some weird issue I forgot that was luckily fixed after firmware update, and not sure what else. Didn't have the money to get it that time anyway.

I don't need super crazy bright panels as I said, it's like staring in the face of the sun whenever I turn it on so I actually reduced the brightness. sweat.gif

My curtains are yes, blackout curtains, but I can't have total darkness in my living room as I have old folks and there needs to be some light for them to navigate. I can't use those fancy backlight leds or floor lights, as they aren't able to turn it on themselves whenever I'm not around. so they are more comfortable with lamp switches. Thus the matte helps a lot whenever they want to watch their shows in the day or night time.

I don't have the money to constantly keep buying new generations and I've been wanting to get an OLED since S95B, so this present version ticked my boxes, and most importantly, my family is happy with the wow factor after constantly admiring these OLEDs whenever we go shopping.

However, I do appreciate you educating us all these while with your experience and expertise, so keep it up bro. Your reviews and comments are most likely helping others lurking in this thread. notworthy.gif
