Hi guys, would like to seek y'all expertise for recommendation for audio converters. I've bought a Sammy TU8500 smart tv recently only able to found out after receiving that the built it analog output doesn't support audio link to external amp except HDMI eARC or Optical Out. I had a 20 over year old Audiolab AMP that left by my father I wouldn't want it to get wasted. Been looking all over for the HDMI/Optical to Analog converters, mostly are china made, does anyone used these before? Thanks in advance .

this 1 should do the job. look around Laz ..there are a few more costing slight more
dont buy those below 20rm .. they use cheaper dac chips .

2 years and 3 months

My 55NU7100 powerboard need replacement

Buzzing sound once the TV is switch on

can be repaired for about 100rm .
possible the coils degrade .

mean while do get a surge protector . lightning surges can degrade these components.

surge protector or voltage regulator?
*
the main functions are different

surge protector suppress the lightning surge on the power line from about 50kV to 2kV .
means the surge spike is clamp to about 2kV .

voltage regulator main function is to keep maintain the voltage within its specs . its may have basic surge components . their specs
seldom/ never reveal the figures for surge protection.

I know they are different. But i don't know which is more protective of TVs. Or use both?
*
for a TV . use a surge protector is sufficient.

the TV power circuits/board have sufficient voltage regulation.

Price wise, surge protector and voltage regulator (some have small surge protection) more or less the same.

So which one is better?
*
i will go for surge protector cos the aim is to suppress the surge which is killing on the tv components.

which surge protector would you recommend?
*
best to have

whole house protection .
SPD type 2
install in DB box
at least 40KA . should last 5 to 10 years.
spec Up .. must be below 2kV clamp voltage

if you dont see these specs dont buy ... waste your money as you dont get the protection you want .

hager one looks good .
if you buy china ones buy only the famous/branded ones. for quality and specs.

for power socket protection
spd type 3
is a power strip .

check the specs ... look for highest surge protection in Joules value .
must have LED to show Protected , and Earth . is ON .

if dont have LED light .... Dont buy .
you dont know status of the unit. the protection will go dead after some big surge hits.
when the LED goes off ..time to buy a replacement .

recommended APC and belkins .

hi all just got a TU8500 unit, while testing it saw some weird juddering/artifacts especially during fast moving scenes, like an explosion for example. i know it has to do with the motion settings under expert picture menu, but what would you recommend as a middle ground custom setting (judder / blue reduction setting) outside of turning off the setting entirely? thanks in advance.
*
are you watching netflix or on a type box android.

just play around with the settings. motion

i have 2 samsung tv... never see judder before .
watching on netflix, hypptv white box.

i set pic clarity to AUTO hence the individual setting i cannot change .

the judder is auto set to 8 . which i cannot change .

i have no judder issues ,
