Depends on location.

My office can't use webe at all. Either slow or disconnect frequently. At home very stable. Now I combine both webe and Maxis Fibre via a software load balancer.

I won’t recommend you to use this network. I read your other posting, what is your budget, data required per month and network speed for your work? Over here different location, different speed with wireless broadband.

My brain is exploding--this is new to me. I'm liking the 2nd option: https://www.malaysianwireless.com/2018/04/b...nd-plans-april/

Is 4G LTE router faster than Mobile WiFi, which is in turn faster than hotspotting from a cellphone?

My situation is that I'm only in Malaysia till December, so am trying to go contractless (last summer, I got Unifi and paid the RM500 penalty). I don't actually know how much data I need per month (unlimited would be good?), only that I am teaching online in July, and have synchronous video conferencing with 10 students at a time (so it needs to NOT be slow?). My husband is also going to be taking an online course.

Yes. Speaking from my experience at my place, most of the time my 4G LTE (SIM card) router is more stable hence the speed doesn’t fluctuate so much compared with my phone. Both using the same network.

Cat 6 and above router / mobile WiFi (mifi) will give better speed if the area you are staying has 4G+

I hate to say this Maxis wireless broadband is a more stable network. I no longer use this network for personal reason.
They have a Broadband package at Rm138/month 65GB data. Without contract you have buy own modem.
or
Digi infinite Rm150/month, no contract, unlimited data. Again you have to buy your own router (cat6 and above router to have higher speed) lately there are issues with this network so you have test it at your place.

Hopefully maxis can provide more competitive plans for wireless broadband.

this plan is so good.
most people subscribe this plan for huawei b618 only.
speed for Unifi Wireless Broadband depend of what LTE band at your place plus network status.
