I believe Nokia is heading to the right direction now with Android One, combined with quality camera as proven from their track record and competitive specs with other Android based phones. |

QUOTE(FlamingR @ May 25 2018, 10:49 AM) Why? Do you think its currently only following other smartphone makers' trends and not leading in terms of innovation? somehow thocause now the trend changing fast and reached till somewhere they want full screen bezel-less design and everyone was doing it. Spec-wise is quite standard now except their individual unique customize OS (which came from Google duh.) Unlike razer phone, bulky and not that up to the design trend but still their selling point is having a great gaming experience So now what Nokia gonna do with that phone with their unique presentation? (most of the brands now follow each other) actually previously their window phone lineup was good but not lasting tho and imo not many would go for it anyway. |

QUOTE(cannonlee @ May 25 2018, 11:01 AM) somehow tho One of the reason I considered Nokia is because of the near stock android experience as Google's Pixel lineup is not officially launched in Malaysia. Windows Phone OS was a flop because Microsoft mobile platform didn't entice mobile app developers to join as Windows Phone user adoption rate is way to low for profit.cause now the trend changing fast and reached till somewhere they want full screen bezel-less design and everyone was doing it. Since they now joined Android it will at least keep their operations afloat and hopefully create something new that separates them from the rest. |

Actually lots of brand now having a very close to stock android. what i can think of now is Razer, One plus, etc.Since they now joined Android it will at least keep their operations afloat and hopefully create something new that separates them from the rest. Why not anyway, should give Nokia another chance tho. They might make it, who knows |

I found Nokia has very fast security update, in fact sometime faster than Samsung, they even manage to push update to mediatek soc. It may not be important for daily consumer, but for business that emphasizes on security, this is a big big advantage.

As Nokia's Android is close to stock with the Android One thus it will have the security updates quicker than say a custom rom like Samsung's. I'm debating to get this or the Pixel 3 but since Google Pixel is not officially launched here so a bit skeptical with AP phones thus Nokia is the next in line for me. |
