I can't decide whether I should get the 3GB or 6GB version. 3GB is way cheaper then 6GB around RM 200-300+ price difference depending on brand and model. Although getting 6GB is basically future proof but I'm not sure paying extra RM 200+ is worth it.

I basically playing Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege as my daily gaming. The most demanding game in my library is Witcher 3. I don't mind set everything on medium in 1080P but I only make sure I set the textures high or more.

My rig is running an Intel Core i7 4790 with 24GB of DDR3 RAM. I'm planing to get the 3GB version since I'm hoping my RAM can compensate the GPU VRAM. Or its just better for me to shell out extra bucks and just get 6GB.

Which is worth the money?.

"hoping my RAM can compensate the GPU VRAM"
is that even a real thing?

anyways,6gb would make hella lot easier for future games.
even 3gb hard to play good graphic setting for current games like gta v or pubg

id hop to 6gb if u plan to keep the cards up to 3-4 yrs time

Well it does if the VRAM was maxed out but I'm not sure how bad the stutter will be since DDR3 is slower then GDDR5.

I don't think it worth my wallet if I get 1070 Ti mini. I have to upgrade my 24" monitor to 1440P resolution proportion sized monitor. I also need upgrade my PSU to something a bit higher to give some room. Cause I running 3 HHD and planning to add another one and also a sound card. Plus, I don't like the heat coming out from the mini version.

Perhaps you should run RTSS / HWiNFO64 / Afterburner and check your VRAM usage of the games that you play.

3GB value for money.
6GB pay a bit more but better experience on certain titles.

If worry about "what if my game ........" then 6GB it is.

Future Proof yourself. Get the 6GB version.. Since you already have money to get 3GB version might as well save more to get the 6GB version.

It may not sound significant as of now, a year later 3GB is going to be entry level whereas the 6GB version still in the mid range game.
