Okay so I have a legit Astro on the go account, and I have a TV, so I'm looking for the easiest (and cost effective haha) way to watch it on my TV. I can log in from my android phone (8.0 and USB C) or my iPad (ios 10++ and lightning port). So how can I buy just some cables or adapters or cast devices to do this?

*currently I have checked that oneplus devices can't stream video from the USB port. And oem lightning to hdmi cables have some copyright protection and I don't know if Astro on the go is part of that

**also, I didn't know which subforum to post this here, pls dont kecam

i do not know if u can connect a cable to the tv from yr mobile devices.
but can cast if device/tv has chromecast/google support, albeit u may not get the full screen picture.
u can also ask in this thread as box users may have already tried what u want to do:

current astrogo v8.1.98 is v gud, hd, stable, reliable.
best enjoyed with a box.
not all boxes can do, proven ones are mibox, minix, himedia... maybe others.

Guys, don't so fast criticise.
If you have an existing account (or borrow from someone who has astro), you get to watch all the channels subscribed.

One wonderful thing i forgot to mention. In the On Demand section, i found a couple of popular TV series like The Walking Dead, Games of Thrones (GOT) etc etc which have all the seasons starting from Season 1. And guess what...... go watch GOT its uncensored. 😁

no idea about MHL cable...

with the old app, it was possible to cast from mobile device to TV.

with new app, it is blocked - ERR601.

the app works well on pc windows.
u can still cast from pc windows using chrome if yr tv has chromecast.
https://support.google.com/chromecast/answe...esktop&hl=en-GB

perhaps later, they will also block casting from pc since they seem very determined to stop people from watching on TV!!
