Cause i heard other ppl said it could be only INtel build in graphic.. which is a lower end spec. the real spec will cost more.. so can u confirm?? thanks |

ha kind of confusing here. so the RM 3999 is without os one?? or the coming batch will preloaded with vista and user will not have choice to choose? i.e price will higher than RM 3999??
Btw, the ram included is DDR2 533 or 667 cause i think i got a spare 533 in my drawer... using by the dust... haha and two statements here: 1) The exclusive Laminated Color Metal (LCM) Technology blends with the circles and squares pattern - a Pop Art influenced design that shouts out class and style. 2)The fine aluminium hairline finish palm rest gives it a metropolitan touch. the first one is it like Hp imprint technology?? i.e the surface will "kilat-kilat!!!" but i think it is quite impossible.. haha dreaming from the second statement.. is it the material at the palm part is a real "aluminium" or just a plastic material... which looks like aluminium... QUOTE(Malaysia Boleh!! @ May 23 2007, 05:43 PM) Ha pal, Benq's LCD tv and monitor in UK here are comparable with samsung, toshiba.. and so on.. the latest series of LCD tv even sell a lot more expensive than those u think "branded" products.. but a lot of users still give them very positive review...and the most expensive part in notebook i think is its LCD... Think like this... u can get a so cheap lappy with a "branded" LCD screen.. You SHOULD Laugh.... Loudly... This post has been edited by kelvinbongcn: May 24 2007, 04:09 AM |

QUOTE(boxer07 @ May 24 2007, 08:13 PM) so in tis case , i would rather buy BENQ LCD than buying their notebook , since the LCD more reputable ok.. but the thing is... if u manage to find those branded notebook with similar spec as S41 but below 4000K. sumsung... i set up a RM7500 laptop before but directly got hardware problem... after warranty and sent it to customer... customer kept complaining... say not worth it and a lot of problems... super lousy spec but "special" design... till no touch pad Toshiba... my friend buy a RM5700 laptop.. but just a few months.. death pixel, light leakage.. and everything comes out.. so go to warranty.. but they changed him an normal lcd screen...... so i promised to myself not to look at the "brand" but "spec" and "value". as long as a brand doesn't have too lousy reputation. then let's give it a try. 智者千虑,必有一失;愚者千虑,必有一得。 This post has been edited by kelvinbongcn: May 24 2007, 08:50 PM |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ May 25 2007, 12:55 PM) What do you mean by "normal" LCD screen? Do you mean a matte screen. If that is the case, get it replaced with the glossy one, Toshiba is short changing your friend if your friend gets a matte screen. Ya the matte one. because the service centre is in London. so he need to keep go and back again in order to get replaced.. but the point is.. who pay the train ticket?? |

Other stuff may be Acer gemstone can win s41 but i think they can never beat benq in terms of the pricing.... and s41 got 16ms lcd screen and HDMI also.....
one stupid question is.. can ps3 HDMI plug into s41 to play or not? i.e use s41 screen to play ps3.. dont scold me if both of the connector are "pinned or hole" type cause i neither own a ps3 nor s41, haha. .of course, unless they are "gay".. . (or are there any way to make this possible??) |

Hmm.. ya if look at the spec seriously. the Acer gemstone is not bad too. good consideration. but if can make it a bit smaller size i.e 14 inch that will be even better... for me.. hehe
I wonder why acer products become cheaper.. usually they stack up their price quite high compare to the other brand. so i dont even bother to "google" this brand.. anyway, interesting model. This post has been edited by kelvinbongcn: May 27 2007, 06:09 PM |

haha me too.. still stick with benq as i not really believe acer will give out the cheap price so easily. 15 inch notebook really heavy and big if u always travel around

so now is the decision between weight, and design if price is not ur concern.
i feel a bit heavy when i carry 14.1 inch notebook to travel around... so 15 inch i think even worst. |
