KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman officers are still counting stacks of cash involving multiple currencies that were seized at Pavilion Residences last Friday.
It is learnt that officers from the Commercial Crime Investigation Department began counting early Monday morning at the CCID headquarters at Menara 238 along Jalan Tun Razak.
Sources said the process was expected to take some time as the amount was quite substantial.
“It is not by any means done. The process will take quite long,” one source said.

On Friday, police seized 284 boxes filled with designer handbags, watches, jewellery and cash in various currencies from three luxury condominiums here.
Comm Amar, who led the operation, said it involved the investigations into 1MDB.
Police have searched six locations linked to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak here and in Putrajaya, including the Prime Minister’s Office and his official residence.
As for the jewellery and handbags seized, police have yet to ascertain the exact value of the items seized.
