Sony also keep updating their firmware to combat the psp modders, it's just the company trying to protect their IP. Sooner or later they gona do the same for PS3.

There is no perfect security, if they can they would have implement that ages ago but that's impossible. The guy who crack the first xbox was invited to Microsoft office to give a talk as well.
