Hi all!

I am wondering is a personal gym trainer worth the cost? When there are so many online sources and fit kawans to learn from? Please share your thoughts and experiences!

Thank you!!

I think it depends on the individuals. I prefer going to the gym, do my workouts and leave. I don't really like to be told what to do. If there is something I'm not sure of, I will learn based on observation from other people or my own research from the internet. Even then, sometimes the gym bros would give me unsolicited comments/advice on my form or whatever. sweat.gif

No, unless you are too lazy to figure things out on your own and you have the money to spend.

If you want to minimise trial and error and looking for fast results, it maybe worth it but don't be dependent on your PT. Learn the forms, skills etc and start working out on your own.

What's the main goal of your fitness regime?

I have seen PT doing rep counts and 3" bench press. Go do some research. High level trainers normally do not appear in the gym as 'PT'.

If you have the motivation, you can join the gym, read the wiki, and set up a diet and exercise program for yourself.

If you need personal instruction, that's what trainers are for.
