been using a normal earpiece for ps4 gaming.. am looking for a decent headset for console ps4 gaming, with budget around 400rm.

at the moment, Kingston HyperX Cloud Alpha Pro Gaming Headset seems like a choice to go? any other recommendation/suggestion ? i was a previous pulse elite (sony) user.. but hated it due to its weight and uncomfortableness.. so definitely not going for sony ps4 brand

HyperX is not the best but most comfortable, in my opinion.

Just going to input my 2 cents here on the PS Platinum headset.

TLDR: do not buy this.

- comfort is horrible. I can’t use it for more than 1.5 hours as it’s uncomfortable. Especially at the top of my head.

- connection is spotty. This is pretty much the main point to not buy this. At 3 meters, the connection breaks every minute or so. Even at 1 meter, it still goes off occasionally. If you think joycon WiFi issue on the switch is bad, this is far worse. But of coz if the place u live has no wireless interference, it will be better.

- 3D audio is a gimmick. Too few games have it and for those that do, it’s just ok-ish
Sound quality is ok for a wireless gaming headset at this price range. I’ll never use it as a daily driver though.

- Doesn’t work with PSVR wirelessly. Dongle doesn’t even go all the way in on the PS4 Pro USB port. So compatibility is bad. It’s like Sony hardly put in any effort.

- so save your money and go for the Gold if you’re considering this . At least it’s more comfortable.

- battery life is about the same as a DualShock 4 if not slightly better.

The only plus point I can think of is
- the foams are really huge.
- looks alright

If u looking for budget headset but good quality can go for Edifier G10. Only cost me aroun RM80 last year during LAN Party where they got promotion. I'm using it and so far the sound quality was superb. It's a wired headset using USB so can use on both PS4 and PC. It also support 7.1 surround on PC with software. Not sure on PS4 tho but so far when I'm using it to play Battlefield or Star Wars Battlefront II feels like surround to me laugh.gif
