hi, i am using lenovo s510p. i dunno why currently my laptop keep pressing number 6. at 1st, i suspect hardware problem (key stuck) but weird thing is when number six keep pressing, if i press number 7, that spam would stop. and after several minutes, it would keep pressing again.
fyi, this laptop got full size keyboard. number six at above is faulty, when i press nothing happen. but number six at right side is problem. when i press number six, the number would appear no stop. try enble/disable num lock but still same.

btw, i already try formatting this pc but still same

I suspected something that keep shorting the keypad at contact surface.

My old laptop keep pressing the square open bracket. I need to press Esc few times and this will stop. However, I can then use with no problem except that cannot use that bracket key. Maybe something shorted or most likely faulty keyboard chip, yours too sad.gif

Just plug in USB keyboard and use it immediately. You cannot disable the main keyboard but now you have 2 keyboards.

Oooo I forgot that key keep pressing biggrin.gif

Here is what I found

Go to start menu, type device manager press enter, click on device manager, find keyboard in device manager, click on + sign for drop down menu to disable keyboard driver reboot should be required to make this permanent or uninstall it.

Can. Either you try disable it in computer management or directly disconnect the ribbon cable.
I suggest the 2nd method.

The replacement part would be the whole keyboard panel usually.
