Hi all !

I've been using my mattress for about 15 years now , since primary school.

So needless to say it's very worn out.

Lately as my income is getting better and better I've decided to get a new mattress.

But the prices for mattress are quite varied.

I do use a Queen size bed.

I started from lazada most are arojund RM400 - 600

while retailers go from RM1000 - 2000 !

that's a massive difference

Cheap mattress are like Dr alstone , italian sunno etc .. i don't really mind the branding but i couldnt find any information on them online hence im a little worried

while others like sunno , getha etc are insanely pricey .. nigh unaffordable.

im going with the idea that any mattress is the same ? I guess

I'm not a picky person to say the least ... budget is more of a concern

so any idea? what about a mattress topper?

For a good back, get a hard mattress, any brand will do as long as it is spring based and not foam based. Posturepedic mattresses are out of the question with your budget so getting a hard mattress is the closest you can get for a healthy spine.

Mattress topper/cover is important. It prevents the mattress from being vulnerable to mites and dust. Significantly prolongs mattress lifespan.

The type of mattress each person needs varies upon personal preference. With so many variations of mattress types, often times this can be the hardest choice to make.
HYBRIDS
Best for: Sleepers who want the best of all worlds. Great bounce, support, comfort, and cooling. A good all around option that is a very good choice for the majority of sleepers.
LATEX
Best For: Sleepers who want great bounce, cooling, and responsiveness. Additionally, good for sleepers who want foam, but want to stay away from the pronounced hug and contour that often comes with memory foam mattresses.
MEMORY FOAM
Best For: Sleepers who want great hug, body shaping, contour, pressure relief, and support. There is a wide spectrum of foams classified as “memory foam” and not all memory foams are created equal. A good option for sleepers who want a more pronounced hug than many hybrid or latex mattresses offer.

Think you need to go and lie down to test, esp if you're planning on using it long term.

What do you mean by hug? I don't understand the logic of memory foam. Is it the memory foam will bend according to the contours of your body? If yes, and if I am hunchback, isn't this going to make me more hunchback because now the mattress "hug" my hunchback?

Full latex is the best but more pricey, you won't regret it.
