I bought a new condo ,only I noticed the car park is at 8th floor...
Can I request to change the car park ? The lower floor the car park, the better, right ?
b]The car park although is high, but it no need turnaround. It's like, one level then directly one level... (like supermarket escalator concept). Up then Up . Up then Up.[/b]

No it is usually set by the system already. Lower floor / cheapest unit will usually get the highest level car park lot depending on the developer. Good luck ts hope the car park design is not pusing 7 times else I assure u when the time comes u would rather park your car at ththe road side lol

Even if got people willing to swap with you, there will be legal issue because your car park is part of your unit. See sale and purchase agreement.

carpark assignment is base on absolute value of the property.
the highest absolute value, the lower the floor.
I know you are on high flr, but comparatively, are your unit also the most expensive amongst all units?
will there be a dedicated ramp to take you straight from ground to 8th floor??

QUOTE(moon yuen @ May 18 2018, 11:19 AM) not every developer using low floor get high level car park, high floor get low level car park. some developer formula is: cheap unit, high level car park. expensive unit, low level car park. you can be high floor but your unit is among the cheapest (probably due to small size).

I sign up the most expensive package (high spec ) other than pent house. No wonder the unit no. Is beautiful, but left over....
A bit frustrated, now request to change to other unit or cancel deal... Me and bf are stupid, didn't even ask car park.. Or I did ask, but he avoided This post has been edited by moon yuen: May 18 2018, 12:07 PM

I still remember the time I have to park outside my condo as my sis' car already occupied the only 1 lot allocated to our unit. Have to deal with the leaves falling unto the car everyday so have to find the right spot with no tree or overhanging branch above to reduce the chances of getting buried under lots of leaves. Then there are times where I have to park near the terrace houses and some asshole living nearby let out the air from my car tyres plus a few other unlucky cars. After the latter incident, I avoided parking there. In addition, there were cases of break-ins that occurred to our condo folks' cars parked on the driveway but after the management decided to assign one guard to patrol the driveway, cases like this no longer occurred. Plus the guards are willing to assign one of them to escort any lone lady drivers towards the condo upon making a request at the guardhouse. So in my condo hunt, the minimum I can accept is 2 cp lots, regardless if its tandem or single. Below that, I'll straightaway cross it out from my list. Doesn't matter if it's allocated at a high or low floor. As long as I don't need to park outside, I'm a happy camper.

As long as I don't need to park outside, I'm a happy camper. this is the mentality of landed home owners. any space outside their houses (beyond the gate) is deemed to belong to them, included the opposite space if its facing field or vacant land. memang samseng. I even come across the corner unit on a dead end road claimed the space on the dead end road as their own. Parked 4 cars there 24/7 whereas their own carporch empty. sorry no more pusing pusing more than 3 storey for me. and most condos you not just pusing, rightfully you were supposed to make a big round after every pusing. if you take short cut, you are at fault if any accident happens. I stayed in a 5th storey cp apartment b4 (meaning 10 ramps). it takes around 5mins just to get out of the blardi car park podium, if there IS ABSOLUTELY NO CARS IN YR WAY.

i agree. most people will say car park level does not matter. reality will eventually kick in if you go in and out the car park every single day. to me, this is the must ask question during unit selection. anything above level 3 is a big no no to me.
