Not too long ago, ASUS released the Zephyrus M which I'm assuming is a successor of sorts to the original Zephyrus. Just wondering if I'm understanding this correctly, this new Zephyrus M isn't using the Max-Q design NVIDIA GPU right? If so, how'd they manage to make it relatively thin still?

Zephyrus M doesn't have Max-Q variant GPU. 1060N or 1070N.

QUOTE(ZM Fong @ May 17 2018, 09:56 AM) Zephyrus M doesn't have Max-Q variant GPU. 1060N or 1070N. Yeah, was wondering on that end, how'd they manage to squeeze the GPU in that and maintain a really compact body. What does that N signify?

Thermal design engineering. Dunno why they can't design a good cooling for FX and GL line. N means Notebook Thin gaming laptops will still throttle under heavy load This post has been edited by ZM Fong: May 17 2018, 05:57 PM

Plus it has a 1070 so that's actually quite remarkable.
