purchased in boxes during discount, material cost is about RM9/psf +- exclude workmanship and plaster gum.

upside: 3D texture, paintable, each piece is molded against real brick
downside: collect dust in the long run

You could consider using tiles since nowadays tiles have much better design with digital print. You could have 3D looking wall but with flat smooth surface.

Suzuka stone are nice too but with rough surface and big gaps, it will be a dust magnet.

Wallpapers are nice and easy to install but some starts peeling off after a few years.

If you want long lasting look, tiles, natural stone or suzuka stone will do the job.

Using tiles, you will see the gap lines but it can be less obvious with colored grout.

So at end of the day, you will need to consider the pro and cons of each material and choose the ones that are suitable.

But for me, I will definitely go for black split face stone for the walls. They look great and the colors are real nice.
