QUOTE(zehtahs @ Jul 8 2007, 08:19 AM) QUOTE(termignoni @ Aug 1 2007, 11:51 AM) my 1990 ZXR750 maxed at 280km/h.. my ZZR250 maxed at 215km/h (with oversized pistons, ported n polished head n smaller rear sprockets).. ahaa . i agree with you . the straights only 404 meters sumthing . if not mistaken. already hv to brake around 100m to enter 1st corner . i dont think anyone can get 300kmh there . dont know about turbo busa but im sure u brake like hell and very very late braking.btw, i don't think u could reach high 300s km/h in the sepang straights.. for me, i juz managed 230km/h.. even a fren'z slightly modded GSX-R K6 could only reach 270km/h.. and, u wouldn't have enough road in msia highways to reach high 300s km/h.. and a txr panther that can reach 270-300km/h?? and panther 270-300 ? kuang kuang kuangg p/s: termignoni , before puasa got trackday or not ? |

He took to sepang one time and the bike is heavily modded, the list of mods to long to remember, he got indicated 315km/h on long straight. ahaa . i agree with you . the straights only 404 meters sumthing . if not mistaken. already hv to brake around 100m to enter 1st corner . i dont think anyone can get 300kmh there . dont know about turbo busa but im sure u brake like hell and very very late braking. and panther 270-300 ? kuang kuang kuangg p/s: termignoni , before puasa got trackday or not ? QUOTE(BridgestoneRE711 @ Sep 15 2007, 12:01 AM) usually for motorcycle the meter is not as accurate as it might seems to . It's true. Our bike can go up to 180km/h at the meter, but real time, we do face fraction or so call geseran jalan and rintangan angin. So even your bike meter show that speed bcoz the engine is at that speed but real time not. But different should be 10km/h different for a bike. That is why aerodynamic is design to reduce fraction.there are many factors to be considered during high speed . that is why it is not accurate . the 180km/h of motorcycle could be only 150km/h only in real time . so.. take it easy lor .. btw , just wan to know , i know those mat rempit motorcycles are very fast . but problaby only during pick up becasue the bike is light , so ... just wann aknow that the bike itself is good at high speed or not ... |

most bike uses front wheel for speed indication , most superbikes uses front sprocket for speed indication.
yup .. reduce drag .. friction will always be there ..beside speed with a bike got too many variable .. rider weight, bike setup , tyre size , tyre air pressure , sprocket , and rider guts .. |
