planning to upgrade to this from my a119s. Every few months it will have the white screen and needed to be flashed w/ firmware. how annoying.

@blurjoey is the 3 wire hardwire kit for parking mode usage ?

maybe the hardwire (3wires) specific to A129 got extra wire for parking mode.
mine a129 installed with normal a119/s 2 wires hardwire.

Yesssss....at one point I have to double back using same path for the rear cable. Have to really peel back the panels to squeeze it in.

Biggest challenge was the hardwire part... But all settled.

I am impressed with the night video quality of the starvis.

Problem is the duration of my power pro...so far tested, only last an hour before it shuts off. Not sure why. Voltage set to 12.5v, maybe set to 12v?

from what I understand, most cars 12.1v is near minimum for it to crank. careful, you might have a flat battery soon

In theory the battery should be able to sustain 2 days of recording because of the low current draw of the camera. But it does depends on the condition of the battery, if its properly taken care of, should not have issues.

My battery already in it's 4th year. So far looks good at 12.5v. Will have an endurance test with 12v and see how far it goes.

WOW, 4th year! amazing, may i know what brand of battery? and if you dont mind the car your driving ?

Question about GPS.

What is the point for the GPS? in my previous Mini 0906 model, there will be a file with time/location points that can be plotted on a map program.

But for viofo, it's just stamped into the video? No route tracking?
*
you can use 3rd party app to open the video footage, and the route will auto plot into the map.

Actually have same like 0906.

GPS also use for date and time sync to your timezone.
