Is it the official viofo a129 hardwire already available?
I'm having a problem with the camera setting especially the time, gps&captions on recorded video. The settings are always change& not correct. I need to set them everyday..maybe it is because of no continuous battery supply to the camera.
Any suggestions?

I dont think it is available yet.

Try this, make sure your time zone is correct +8 GMT, then you can sync your time with your phone via the app - settings - sync time (or something similar).

The issue you describe is probably unrelated to having power continuously.

See also if your cam offs immediately after the engine power is cut off, or a few seconds later.

Yes i'm syncing my a129 with my phone for the clock.
Is there any way for no need to sync it everyday?
Yes my a129 will have slightly delay time to completely off when i turn off my car engine.
Btw currently i'm using a119 hardwire (2wires)+fuse tab

Ensure timezone is correct setting +8. Then gps will auto correct it for you. No need to sync with phone. If your timezone setting is default. Meaning the gps will always reset to +0 timezone for your clock.

3 wire is released. Available on viofo website since last friday.

Hi,

Great review. I am keen on getting this for my car but want to know what's the measurement of the max height of the rear camera? I have very limited height clearance on my rear windscreen (30~32mm)

Thanks.Attached Image

I dont claim the numbers to be fully accurate as you can probably see mine is already stuck on. So its going to be plus minus a few mm'

Extra tip : keep your cam mounted between those heating elements or you'll have a cam that cant see properly due to fog or mist

Hi ... want to know about the hardwire kit
If i dont want to record after my engine off, i just press switch off at the device right?

I'm thinking whether to get hardwire kit or install extra usb port.

If the parking mode is not important then power using the USB car charger or install the 2 wires hardwire kit.

3 wires hardwire kit is required for the parking mode.

Thanks for the photo. Got exactly what I needed. Didn't realize the cable is so bulky at the connector. Sticks out so much... Would be good if it's connected at the side instead.

Is the rear camera cable using USB mini-B?

Yes Mini B, i think the rest of the cables are also the same.

Probably an acceptable trade-off since its 1080p instead of 720p.

Ill take more pictures for you later to present a better angle

The thick cable is the cons of the A129 Duo. Just imagine installing in the rear for SUV type of vehicles.

Anyone can find or used the 90deg angled usb cable? Would make the rear cam less visible.

You might need to buy and test yourself if no one has.

Your dashcam will need to have parking mode/features to use the 3 wires hardwire kit first
