Thanks for your prompt reply! smile.gif

Do u know what's the main diff for the coming mini 0906 Pro?

Which site u will rec to get Viofo A129 (local seller) with warranty?
The Hardware kit will be needed if I need to use power supply from car battt right ?

Or will the mechanic st car accessories shop able to do that ? (Without me buying the additional hardwire kit)
*
New sensors in the 0906 Pro if not mistaken.

If you worry about warranty then get from Sicurez as they are the local distributor. They also do installations for Viofo for a fee.

You only need to buy and use the Viofo HK3 hardwire kit if you want to use the parking mode. It would be a waste to get it and just use it to record when you start your car.

Just use the USB car charger to power the A129 Duo if you don't require parking mode.

Installation, any trusted car accessories can do so long no wire cutting or wire tapping.

Alright. Meaning it will be compulsory to get the hardwire kit tgt, even I'm sending to accessories shop for installation in order to setup parking mode right ?
*
Yes, you still need to use a 3-wires hardwire kit aka Viofo HK3 if you want to use parking mode.

I mean the Power cable should be connected to the top part (form GPS module) or from the side (the device itself) ?

Many Thanks!

Hi guys, what's your setting for the parking mode?
My device stop runs recording every 3 mins even engine is off. I thought it should be recording only if there is any motion detected ?

Kindly advice. smile.gif Much thanks! x
*
Read here: https://www.viofo.com/en/blog/advanced-buff...g-mode-b22.html

Also, set the cutoff voltage at 12.4v to be on the safe side.

QUOTE(KIntos @ Dec 19 2019, 01:40 PM)
If every 3 mins stop recording and need manually press start recording, please check loop recording setting. Default setting is loop every 3 mins. Setting have off, 1,3 & 5 for selection.

If you want the recording to continue record without creating every 3mins file, please set the loop recording to 'off'.

Parking mode set it to motion detection in parking mode setting.

Motion Detection: When activated, the camera will start recording if there is movement in front of the camera. Once the camera does not detect movement for 60 seconds, it stops recording and returns to “Motion Detection” mode. The camera will record again in the time of detecting a new movement.
*
Talking about buffered Parking Mode. Nothing to do with loop recording laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

A129 duo rm800 include installation, cheap or expensive?
*
Cheap if it's with local warranty!

Don't think it includes the micro SD card and the hardwire kit?

What I mean was, is the setting correct to have the dashcam keep videoing never engine is off ?
Each video is about 3mins.

user posted image

Because all along I thought it will start recording when there's a bang or crash (during parking mode)

Yeah I'm very new to dashcam! Thanks for all your kind advice x
*
Can you watch the videos and see if it is in fast forward motion? If yes then you have it recording in timelapse mode when parked.

A129 Duo now has buffered parking mode. It will record something when motion is detected or impact is detected. 10 secs before and 10 secs after the motion/impact detected.

Nope it's not in fast fwd motion. Normal playback.
Do you guys have the same recording files like this ? If it's normal then I'll be glad.

I've set to Auto Event Detection & set to low sensitivity.
*
But can see from the small file size is too small to be 3 mins files.

Another thing, can check if the hardwire is install correctly?

Hi guys. Just installed viofo129 duo with hardwire kit. Parking mode is important for me so I put auto event detection mode ON. I have some questions sometimes when I open the door I can hear beep sound and rec light flashing. It will turn off when I press the button. Is that normal? Another thing when I check back the recordings got some parking videos only not until I drive the car next morning. Is that bcz it auto off after battery colt reach 12.4?
I tried to test parking mode g sensor by shaking the car from outside free times. But it didn’t record any videos... pls enlighten me
*
Um... If parking mode is important to you, should have went straight with Thinkware dashcam instead of A129.

Viofo's buffered parking mode is not 100% prefect like Thinkware dashcam. But it is the 1st China dashcam manufacturer to get buffered parking mode to work almost like Thinkware's.

Another thing, check what firmware are you using? Heard new firmware has some fixes for parking mode.

I am worried about removing the camera from windscreen as it might be hard to attach it back. As per instruction said ‘          Insert the card in the camera and connect it to the computer using a USB cable.’

Or can i just take out the memory card?
*
You can take out the micro SD card and copy the firmware into it using a PC. Then insert it back into the A129 then power on and wait for it to update.

You'll need to setup again the A129 as after firmware update will reset the A129 back to factory defaults.

Don’t have budget to buy thinkware bro. I’m using latest 2.1 firmware. Yesterday I format the memory card and reset settings of the camera. Want to test today
*
Alright.

Just confirm if the HK3 is using the correct ACC and BATT fuse only.

Oh ok. Hw to check bro? Can I check manually or need to go shop and check? The shop quite far. If got way for me to check manually mean better
*
Where did you get it installed? If at an authorized installer then should be ok. If accessories shops then need to check if correct or not.

any difference is im using the pc?
*
Both ways also same.

Just see if you want to remove the A129 plug to PC and update or just take out the micro SD card and use micro SD card reader to PC only to copy the firmware into it.

It’s not at Sizurez so definitely not authorised I think. But I get good deal (I think so) rm840 plus high endurance sandisk 128gb and installation. Btw today I found this notification when want to start my car after parking. The exclamation sign like the photo attached. It goes off after a while.
*
The warning is impact detected or manual recording.

I doubted so. I checked back the videos n no video saved in locked files. Btw I go thru viofo website n found that parking mode with hardwire kit will only works if the cable connected directly to the camera not thru gps mount. So I just changed and see hw it goes
*
Think you better ask the seller as I didn't test the parking mode extensively as it failed the low voltage for me during review.

want to ask, rear camera get power from the connector, or it saperately? how long the cable? extra or just enough?

from video share, i could see there was gps, date time stamp. was this on recorded video, got setting option / enable / disable, or post process with apps?

without that wiring to car box, this camera not have any battery? ie car full engine stop, i want keep recording run.. cannot?
*
The rear cam is controlled by the front cam. The rear camera cable is 6m long.

The GPS info can be turned off in the settings.

If you haven't read the 1st post, Viofo dashcams all is using supercapacitors and not battery. So there is no power after you off the engine.

Only way to continue recording aka parking mode is to use with the HK3 hardwire kit.

tried to remove the dashcam yesterday and it works fine.
by the way i will update it once my card reader arrived.

one more thing, how can i remove our own plate number from recording? i have this one video of a Jazz + 2 Axia is speed of recklessly until almost hit my car. i wanted to share it online but then again there is my car plate number there. tried to make the plate number section empty in the apps but it still wont change.
*
Try changing it on the A129 settings and see. There is 2 options - Custom text stamp and car license number.
